what happened to the EU4 dlc activator thing? I used to use it to be able to pirate the DLCs off archive onto my steam version of EU4 which is dlc-less, now it seems the "DLC activator" archive is just some steam_api.dll crack files

I think I found a way once you launch the eu4.exe with the cracked dll once, it detects the dlc, then i deleted the cracked dll and replaced it with the original one, launch it via steam again, and it still detects the dlc

As for actual mechanics, I'd say EU4 has more. Tax, trade, corruption (been reworked in 1.17, no longer shit), development, espionage in particular has been really fleshed out and is actually worth shit now.

People take corruption wrong, which is understandable as most paradox mechanics are min-maxing. You're not supposed to put the slider on full and burn it all off at once, you're meant to slowly root it out so it doesn't cost gorillions.
There is hardly any intrigue in CK2, you jut assassinate, that's it. In EU4 once you get to the late game you can fund rebels, give subsides to countries you want to win, basically play it like the modern day.

Since I've been conquering India, i'm able to specialize factories more thanks to unlimited raw materials, also it helps that somehow I grabbed the entire sikh empire as states rather than colonies somehow, I think they civilized as I was at war with them or something.
