If you're going 2handed, what point is there in being Petalsta? When switching back from shield after using Swashbuckling, you lose the HP buff and the aggro generation buff. Is it just for initially pulling mobs? Not even properly tanking?

Yeah you're good. Carry on. Alemeth Forest is the "grind spot" starting from 21x-230. It's usually too crowded so some skip it and go straight to Evacuation instead at 230. That's what I did at least. You could delay using your Level 9 cards up to 210 as long as you do all your journal kills starting from them giving you Level 9 EXP cards.
