promote subterfuge and sneakyness, which is to say make the dead ringer less good or at least make it bad at letting the spy just run at danger and be fine afterwards. like maybe have it so that the dr cloak lasts longer the less health you have, that way it's more believable when you finally activate it and it promotes the spy playing mind games on the enemy team. or something like that, dr is really the only big problem i have with spy.

it's not in the item drop system iirc and can only be crafted

but this new dr concept could make the spy stronger the more sneaky and convincing he's trying to be. like the way most people run dr is they just run in front of fire and they're cloaked, they don't even bother being sneaky, to get to where they're going they may as well have just used a stock watch. and it's not like it convinces the other player they've killed them either, whenever you kill a spy with chip damage you know they're not really dead. and it still acts as a means of escape when you're caught in a bad situation, assuming you have all of your cloak, so how is it a nerf? if anything it increases spy's skill ceiling by forcing people to hold off and time their cloak better in order to get the most out of their feign. and if there's one thing tf2g loves to bitch about, it's how spy is a completely useless, skilless class.

Reminder that Engineer has the highest skill cap in the game.

I played the beta and it was shallow, got bored after playing it for a few days. FPS is dead, I'm just going to play other video games.

i don't like dying to cheap deaths

me and because i'm poor and doesn't seem to have as much depth gameplay-wise as tf2. i mean, it seems fun and all, but there's just something off about it. like the fact that it's a bunch of really wacky characters, more wacky than tf2 even, but then the setting takes itself kind of seriously, meanwhile with tf2 you have just a bunch of dudes, but they do wacky things and get into wacky situations and that's where the humor comes from. in terms of gameplay the fact that i could watch one guy streaming it for the first time and see that he masters each class after playing it once, and also showing that the game has an aim assist that you cannot turn off, shows me that it's a game meant for casuals. that's not exactly a bad thing, but the fact that there is zero depth turns me away from it, i don't feel like the game should play itself for me, which, from what i've heard, is what some of the ultimates actually do. good waifus though.

i also dislike the dumbing down of most skills like pharah's rocket jumping junkrat's mine jumping

you at least gotta spend a few hours in tf2 to learn basic airstrafing and rj patterns, but this is so casual and skillcapped that its just not fun

theres also really dumb abilities like mcrees flashbang + fan hammer to instakill tanks or bastion in his turret mode who deals 150 damage in 0.2 seconds

exactly. i've been playing tf2 for maybe 1800-1900 hours and i still haven't got rocket jumping down and soldier is my second most played class. and that's not typically a lot of time to have spent in tf2, i'm still in pretty much the baby phase.

first i must say thank you all for this board so i can keep my son away from nasty stuff the devil puts on this earth

as grateful as i am i am here to tell you all to ban team fortress 2 (abbreviated as TF2) for the following reasons

i discovered about it this weekend when my 15 year old son charlie brought home his friend and they were playing on his friend's laptop a game where it's nothing but killing, bad words, god bashing, anti-american propaganda, and worst of all HOMOSEXUALITY

first off this is their artwork they use to advertise to the MASSES
as you can see, they all are posed to look threatening (i guess that's what boys like these days)

there is also blantent homosexuality (when the doctor heals his patients they all say things like "i love this doctor" or "get behind me doctor!")

they made a character that looks like a soldier and he talks about god's world being his ("this is my world, you are not welcome in my world!") when i heard this i was MORBIDLY SHOCKED and appalled and ashamed of my son and he knew it

i was wondering why my son was getting into fights and after i saw this i banned him from ever seeing his friends

if you see your child playing this, tell them to uninstall it and watch him do it!!!

Make cloaking and decloaking faster with the IW and CnD watches
Halve the volume from decloaking for the IW and CnD
Remove flicker from damage on default cloak
Increase movement speed from 100% to 105%

I remember back when I hosted my own server, the spy had 108% speed and 100hp instead.
It worked suprisingly well

okay so I have a bit of a problem with my Steam account, the phone number attached to my account is for a phone and number that I no longer have any way whatsoever to access, anyone know how to fix this, I tried asking Steam Support but they were of no help at all, and I have yet to find a method to fix this that is actually possible for me to use, so /tf2g/ got any solutions?

I would, but there's the combination of my current one having a bunch of games on it, and for TF2 specifically, a bunch of items, including a fair amount of Stranges I rather like(including foolishly enough a couple that are untradeable that I'm attached to), so making a new Steam account is kinda out of the question from a sheer financial perspective

also as for the phone, me switching phones happened very suddenly in a way completely out of my control, so I didn't have the time to remove it from my account(didn't even realize I should have till a couple weeks after cause Steam didn't change how Trading worked till after I switched phones)
