It's still a thing. Some BK weapons do more poise damage than others in their category.

For example, it's the difference between poisebreaking a Giant Size Man Serpent in two hits (with my LKGS) or 5 (with my SSS).

It's just no longer really a thing in PVP.

Do people actually hate crossbows now? I offhand a Knight's Crossbow when using my UGS because it's the only way to effectively punish roll estus and ranged attacks, and it doesn't do high damage at all.

I know poise is disabled retard, but the 'poise' that armor gives still exists as a stat in the menu

I've been screwing about with a somewhat similar build to yours, using the Manikin Claws.
Have you noticed that you take counter damage if you get hit during the recovery of Quickstep? Do you not get destroyed when that happens due to your Prisoner's Chain?
And do you know if Carthus Bloodring affects Quickstep at all?

"Counters" are only active during very specific animations, like rebounding off of walls or after being parried.
Counterdamage is a universal modifier.

However, during all attack animations there's a very brief moment where your character gets a massive penalty to thrust ABS. Getting hit during those open frames obviously deals more damage, but the bonus is once again uniform across all thrust weapons.

Poise damage is done in breakpoints and largely uniform. There's a chart on the wiki. It functions exactly like previous games in pve

You just need to buff it with Sunlight Blade and Sacred Oath and you will be able to deal damage eqaul to a 2hR1 Claymore.

My DMB Estoc does more damage per hit.

I'm at Dragonslayer and progressed Sirris' quest up to killing Hodrick. Is it safe now to do the Rosaria stuff without breaking Sirris' quest and losing her armor?

I really hope From will expand on melee sorceries in DLCs. This is probably the best time i ever had with sorcery builds in souls games. BB with TOH is still way better in that regard but still.

Fire keeper has quite a few unique gestures too. Maybe we'll get some more at some point, but probably not.

People only hate those who pull a crossbow against a slow weapon user and do nothing but wait for an attack and then shot. This is specially cheap when you use the crossbow to finish people on low health.

But that's only for duels and it's not banned like AGS or anything, just a seen as cheap.

It's kinda disappointing that FromSoft didn't try anything interesting with areas in DaS3. Pretty much all of them are just watered down versions of areas we had in the last games. Seriously, it being on new gen consoles they could have made a better Blighttown or a Super Sen's Fortress.

You can see it in the stats menu when you attack. The counter damage is just from your own thrust absorption going down.

Having a free manpower for clearing out this shithole in ng+ that also restores your flasks after being defeated is pretty beneficial, user.
