Madman here, it was on Normal. Next up is a solo run of EW, which I could probably get away with Impossible on, with some... modified tactics. With advanced marrow meaning that you'll rarely spend more than a day in the infirmary, and with bioelectric skin for the seekers, many situations that would generally be lethal work out just fine. MECs lack the tanking and self healing powers of bio soldiers, so I'm sticking with bio. Also, you have to get psi, so bio's the only way to go, really.

I don't even know what the fuck toolbox does that would override uniform manager to begin with. None of the mods that do the same thing as it had any compatibility issues, it's retarded. Like the long war guys went out of their way to be incompatible with everything.

SPARK will be a robot that XCOM rescues and slowly learns human emotions through Lily and is revealed to be Shen's Last Gift with a portion of his mind in it

Julian will be an enemy MEC given life but is evil because ADVENT got him, the exact opposite of SPARK and will work to rally the other MECs in the game to rebel

SPARK and Julian will fight and there will be some underlying theme about robots being able to feel

It would be incredibly dumb and cheesy but I believe it

Am on legendary but switch to commander periodically because the legendary kill-requirements to rank up are obscene. My last legendary game I think you needed 180 kills to reach colonel.

Also looked boss with a cigarette and shades up before I got to T2 and we wuz space marines.

I'll prob avoid doing that switch-down to level up now that I have people in the decent ranks. Just didn't want to wait until the endgame when things are already too easy to be able to enjoy abilities beyond shoot and stand still.

There a mod to lower the kill requirement for ranking up on legendary?

You need another mod that enables all the armor options from the outset, rather than some of them being gated behind tech advances in the game.

I fucked up

Anyone had the issue where upon completion of a mission, the camera is outside/underneath the ship?

When your soldiers walk forwards and you get their level up etc. I have to save the game and reload it every time to be in the ship.

I'm pretty sure it started when I installed the free camera rotation mod but I'm not certain, but it persists with the mod removed and on new games. There are other little camera issues that occur too but only that consistently. Its made the game unplayable for me.

I did something like this. No pictures sadly, but I got the FEAR replica voicepack and named my troops with a batch letter and production number. each one going to 10. so A01 A02 so on and so forth.

Everyone had the same features, and the same armor, and the same voice. Was pretty neat imagining Xcom turning to radical cloning to produce soldiers to fight against Advent. Then coming to the realization the Advent were doing the same. I can imagine the "What have I become, my sweetest friend." moment with Bradford drowning himself in whiskey at realizing how far they've fallen.

I wish Exalt still existed. I loved the concept. I like pretty much everything about Xcom2, except the core concept of being a resistance. Shit, I wish it was just a straight up reskin just with the new features. I miss my underground base, and my mechs, and my meld, and gene modding, and Exalt. I also miss the more story centric mission DLC like slingshot.

I miss the mysterious feeling XCOM EW had. It really felt like you were a secret task forced chosen to save the world.

What's the word on Alien Hunters? Are the new leaders as bad as everyone's making them out to be?
