Actually you should concentrate your efforts in losing. Make it look like you're a powerful nation, but lose anyway. That way, when you lose, America will want to ally you, and Americans will invest shit tons of money in your country. You will become an extremely wealthy nation, no one will match your technology. If you win the war, you'll have shit tons of debts, a destroyed nation, you won't be able to control the US in any way. It will be like Britain after WW1, but without any of the colonies.
