Eh.. you kill dragons, meet a few friendly dragons, go to Sovangarde to kill a big dragon, and then no one acknowledges your achievements. Not much you're missing out on.

Sovngarde is nice to take screenshots and the Blades temple has a VERY nice exterior.

Bethesda are experts at creating the most anticlimactic endings to things. You defeat Alduin and then three people are like "hooray for the dragonborn!" and then you get out of there and it's like nothing happened.

The whole game is like that. You do something amazing and then all you get is an awkward cutscene with robotic NPCs and a "quest finished" message

Well yeah, I haven't actually played as the dragonborn since 2013. In fact, doing the College questline recently was the first time I played any vanilla quests in years.

Some things require you to get so far in the main quest, The White Phail for instance
