Demos and soldiers in general, but, for fuck's sake. I'd prefer Valve to find a way to work around it rather than have a whole game's engine be cracking up.

What are .dem files?

Hey, a man should be able to play what he wants.
As long as it's not sniper or spy.

It means never to engage your enemies head on, shoot from their sides and their back, keep away from the meat grinder.

Use your extra mobility as a scout. You're the fastest class in the game, and you have double jumps, so you can use those in order to move around your enemy in a way that he can't keep track of you while you mow him down with your scattergun

don't overextend into the enemy lines, retreat if you can't win a fight

go past the enemy lines and harass

yeah you should be able to play them i was looking at some old ETF2L demos myself and the only problem was those annoying big ERROR letters on every player

read the pastebins in the op if you haven't yet

you do the most damage up close, so don't spam shots from really far away because that won't do anything. try to use your fast mobility to get close before shooting mindlessly
still be careful, some classes, like soldier, will crush you if your movement is too predictable (and it will, if you're new) and you get too close. try to sneak up on people

use your pistol to finish off enemies. you'll get used to knowing when an enemy is weak enough to finish him off as you play more
your melee is basically useless unless you're fucking around

getting into trading is dumb but if you want to do it look up guides so you don't waste money

Sooo... is valve ever going to acknowledge replays again? I remmeber back in 2014 so many servers would ask me every time i died if i wanted to save that life for a replay but i struggle to find even official 2fort maps these days that do that

I'm guessing that with all the taunt/weapon/cosmetic updates they realized theyd actually have to put effort into keeping it updated and just tried to quietly sweep it under the rug
