In PSO1, Newmen had short life spans because of high photon affinity if I remember right. Not sure if it is the same in PSO2.

It's the exact opposite. They have very short and unpredictable lifespans. They also have a very hard time sitting still

for a time that had the strongest weapons in the game, see. so all those amassed cubes which nobody should have had trouble keeping in stock, rdr popped all day or not thanks to TD3 and magatsu, were put to use.
if anything, using rdr constantly and not getting a deficit is strange but it's prevalent in all relevant content these days. the only people who this hurts are those who make crazy affixes to sell, like astral fodder.
