it's hard to get this game for under $40, I'm hoping prices will drop once it's released in 4 days
Kayden Miller
i hope it stays for 40$ and never go f2p because then it will be balanced around casual players like tf2
Lucas Kelly

could the time that it took for the kill to register and the speed you moved your scope be used to exactly calculate your ping?
Josiah Perry
nope, hitreg is too fickle to do that I can tell you my ping was around 30

i hate not being consistently good at sniper so much i always need some time to like warm up before getting shits so at first i try to go for cool quickscopes or flickshots or anything at all and miss every time and end up looking so retarded and it's humiliating so i give up and switch to scout i feel like i will never get good at clicking heads with consistency
Ryder Cox
i don't know what any of those are so i'll disagree
Carter Ortiz
I used to hate hitting every headshot, then not playing for 2 days and being rubbish.
then I stopped playing sniper for good and now I'm happy
Anthony Ward
>miss consistently >get 5 headshots in a row >start shitting again >miss a revved up heavy and enemy sniper >hit a flying soldier and midair scout
Fucking sniper, how does it work?
Mason Lee
Client sends information about what it's doing to the server 20 times per second. Server sends information to the client about what every other client is doing (and what the client's projectiles are doing) 66 times per second. This way the server won't very often know what the clients are up to, but will send what little information it has very frequently to the other clients and will use prediction methods to tell them that the others are "probably around here". This can lead to a lot of errors in hitbox placement leading to you being shot after running behind a wall or explosives hitting you from a ridiculous range. In extreme cases your bullets will hit an opponent's model and do very little or no damage because the server doesn't recognize the hitbox as actually being in this position due to TF2's prediction methods quite literally separating the hitbox from the model and then rolling everything back several milliseconds before displaying it to you. If the tickrates are reversed, the server won't tell you what the other clients are doing as often, but it will have much more information to send you each time it does. This leads to significantly better hit detection but will occasionally lead to players killing eachother on the same "tick" a la BF3/4.
Ian Baker
this the other day i was on hightower and couldnt get a single fucking headshot then i got one on a flying soldier he didn't die i didn't get any other headshots
Jonathan Mitchell
set your sens so it matches that of ALL your classes Doesn't matter if you're gonna be a shit heavy or a shit spy, set it the same with ALL CLASSES Zoom sens no lower than 0.88
There, you now have the potential to click on heads consistently As long as you keep your cm/360 the same you can even switch screens, your muscle memory will set in nice and cozy and you'll get all the flick shots and all the flying headshots you want and need
Takes time tho
Charles Powell
why the fuck is this shit player with like 10.000 hours played giving advice?
Juan Flores
Because I used to be a good sniper, I swear
Cooper Ross
Compensate for the slightly behind of head, neck level. Hitbox may move and fall behind their model regarding their movement direction and speed. But generally neck area is a safe bet. Remove crosshair on zoom, aim at neck level but always remember to compensate for your movement and their movement. Bullets are dead accurate and fast, but still when laws of relative speed kicks in you'll realize you have to aim with sides of your midpoint when strafing. Even more effort required if you have height difference going and they're on the move. Standing on ramps or sloped surfaces may effect your accuracy badly. Crouch and use small cracks or stair frames to peek at some long pathways or hilltops to choke with gunfire. Also crouching momentarily may help you evade Spy's revolver shots to get closer and corner him for a good ole' chop'.
James Flores
but i have the same sens on every class
Caleb Sanchez
zoom sens ratio?
Grayson Walker
>Remove crosshair on zoom how does this help? i always had it enabled
i don't think it's different than when not zoomed is that bad
Brayden Reed
It's actually my personal preference. Crosshair middle point and scope middle point does not match, if you look closer. Last time I checked scope middle point (where bullet actually hits) was very slightly below of the crosshair mid point. If you picked something wide that doesn't cover the middle point as a crosshair, I think that works too, but I like being able to see it pinpoint.

What? really?

Get the jump on people. You are the opposite of a demoman, only engage in 1v1, 2v1 max if they are distracted or at low hp. Best position would be just around a corner but after that there's only open field, so they don't have corners to run behind. stock,chocolate,GRU/eviction notice/fist of steel
