My current team of freedom fighters with attitude. The rest of my roster haven't made a name for themselves yet.

Too much of anything can be too much. While I didn't like the armor in vanilla for the most part it wasn't as garish a dislike as the Anarchy's Children stuff, and did fit within the context of Xcom.

Personally I love the operator near/far future Milsim stuff so I'm happy with Xcom1 armor ported over, mix of magnetics and Halo weapons, halo helmets and titanfall armor and so on. But I was more New Conglomerate than Terran or Vanu.

I'll have to see if I can recreate Invid era Robotech body armor when I get to T3. I think I will be able to, the helmet is already Xcom1 carapiece style (with the bronze visor) or Halo pilot or I forget the term (JFA or JTA or something) helmets, the body armor isn't anything out of the ordinary.

Ok so with the new DLC i decided id do another Xcom 2 run however i cant use any armour. everything says "ranger only" but my rangers cant even use shit how the fuck did they mess this game up with the DLC?

So far so good. Only shot on us was a turret taken down to 1/4th HP from elite officer. I should have brought along the other Gunner in the squad rather than wait for bradford as he's sent me two shoddy low tier guys instead, while my gunner as always is holding the line. If I get the 2nd gunner it's GG no RE because those boys overwatch more viciously than anything in EU/EW. Pelter will take down 4 guys in a single overwatch session.

68/73 killed after I bugged out due to the framerate going to shit. Survivors were 4 chrysalids by the EMP device that were busy playing ring around the pile of wood to visit me and a MEC that I waved goodbye to as we flew off.

From my past two experiences with Avenger defense it's really either very hard or very easy, doesn't seem to be a midpoint. Caught off guard without turrets and you're fucked, caught with turrets and the means to destroy the no mans land terrain and it's Somme.

We've decided to use 12-15 names from the new challengers and 8-11 names from the old guard.

So, guess who was a dumbass and thought he could mod the alien hunter weapons? It was me, anons. It was me.

I made changes to XComGameData_WeaponData.ini for the Alien Hunters DLC and now all of the weapons in it don't do anything. Any chance a kind user could up a clean file for me to use to overwrite my changed one? A discussion on the steam forums suggests this'll let me use the weapons again without having to validate my files.

Been asking this around for a while and found out that atleast few threads ago, nobody had the answer.
Something to do with .ini merging.
I hope we will soon get a way to tweak those files without them breaking the stuff.
