As far as I'm concerned it was an overall nerf.

His cooldown is longer now if you only go stealthy for a short duration. Also anyone with a device nearby can tell you're there because your armor now has EMP. It's like an extra way for the enemy to spot you.

Looks like people tend to run into her mines quite often, some Proxyfag killed 5 people with the mine, and proceeded to score tripple kills quite often the same way

That's true, mines are great ways to farm retards without having to use any skill. I haven't died to a mine in god knows how long unless it's from a Proxy who suicides herself to kill just me, which still doesn't happen often because it's a very slow process that only works if you're not looking.

It was given a fair buff recently. Throwing a mine is a lot faster now.

You can though. Your individual skill level can make a huge difference in Dirty Bomb. You can solo carry very hard in DB. You can't solo carry in Overwatch that often, that's why it's a harder game. There's more hard counters and focus on teamplay.

Hardcounters and making barriers to cap skill doesn't make it a harder game. It's very easy to master every character and track headshots since the game is so shallow and slow. The rock paper scissors balancing makes it harder to carry unless the other team decides to not hard counter you.

It's harder as a solo player.

The hard counters are inherently bad though. It's hard to balance a game where everybody doesn't start out the same and Dirty Bomb has done it incredibly well. There are no hard counters in DB, there are only playstyles and mercs suited to those playstyles. Literally merc, while being unique and equipped to handle different scenarios can be boiled down to their three characteristics; range, speed, objective.

Wanna know why Fragger is considered the best? He gets three of the highest damage repeating weapons in the game and then a mininuke on a 15 second cooldown. He is however slow as fuck and has no direct utility in regards to objective maintenance. This kind of balance does not exist in Overwatch because of the fuck-retarded rock, paper, scissors that mentioned.

Now it's fine to say OW is harder, because it is, in a sense, but the difficulty of that game only serves to restrict people who would crush everybody else if the shitty system didn't exist. In actual fact OW is a much easier game for the majority of the community because people are bad at video games. That's not balance, that's pandering bullshit and you may as well go play CoD.

Like any class based FPS game, people will run with the most optimized rollouts. In OW's case, it's Dubstep Nigger, Angel Slut, Winston, Winston, McCree, Tracer/Another McCree.

I understand all of what you're saying and agree, I'm just saying it's harder, not a better game, not a well rounded game, just harder.

I personally do not enjoy it much. It's fun here and there, and the characters and lore is fun, but I like Dirty Bomb more in every way, including character designs.

Even with the hard counters I don't consider Overwatch harder. I can rack up way more killstreaks with ease until a hardcounter gets an ult.

Someone like Bastion or Junkrat can easily carry in pugs because no one will go out of their way to hardcounter them. There are a lot of other classes that are really easy to use and just run train on newbies alone like Widowmaker or if you're paired together.

As long as the other team doesn't stack their ultimates or actually have decent synergy, it was fairly easy to destroy pugs in the beta. The same could be said about DB, if the other team is actually aware and has a balanced team it's pretty hard to break their defense or stop their from attacking. The problem is both games have a bunch of people who just want to play their favorite characters and don't care if they're not helping the team.


DB should track assists. I'm curious to see how many people who think they're carrying are just finishing their plate when everyone else is distracting and pestering the opponents. I know for a fact a lot of my kills are people who are only 50-80% health.

I wish it would track it too. I know I'm good close to mid range duels and capitalizing on my teammate's distractions. I'm very bad mid to long range fights though. I have trouble seeing opponents far away and tracking them that way. Feels like everyone else is better than I am at it.

So I feel like I'm doing all the killing, the objectives and all the distracting on maps like Underground, Terminal and Bridge, but on maps like Chapel, Trainyard and Dome, I feel like I spend most of the game flanking, shooting distracted enemies in the back and not really making good pushes. I kill a lot, but nothing gets done.

Sometimes I like sneak up to a chokepoint and just let loose on the side while my team is fighting the other team. Sometimes I get all the kills and other times I get shit even when I'm getting those sweet headshot sounds.

An easy fix for Chapel is to learn the various jumps. Namely the two to get into the attacker spawn in the beginning as defender and the one to get into the defender spawn as attacker towards the end of the EV push.

Phoenix is mine. You'd think I like him for self-revive, but his true strength is his speed and his quick and instant self-heals. You can bounce up and around enemies for a long time and then you can just inject yourself with some health to stay in combat.
It's non-stop action experience with Phoenix and usually gets my heart pounding in the most heated situations.
He may not be a good team healer like Sawbonez or Aura, but he's the most fun merc.

You always want get up more than anything, but I usually play a flanker as Phoenix with no other teammates around me, so it would be kinda wasted on me. If I wanted to play a healer I would play the AOE healer, the offense/tank healer or the revive specialist.

Phantom is pretty ok too, but he's slightly slower and his shield's cooldown is way too long and you have to constantly find healing stations or medpacks like any other merc. This breaks the action.

I went between Stoker and Arty for months, but the past 6 weeks I've loved Thunder. The MK46 feels amazing. It's my highest accuracy primary outside of snipers and it has my highest KPM. His HP, his LMG and his ability allow me to be constantly aggressive. Much like how you play Phoenix, Thunder is a non-stop bum rush of action for me. I get to bully Fletcher, duel with snipers without fear, trap fast mercs in faux tar pits, out muscle Fragger, and just generally annoy the shit out of the enemy team with flash bangs.

I've been incredibly happy with the update of him. It feels like I'm casting a slow mo spell on the people I concuss. Seeing the faster mercs panic as they try to run but barely make it a few feet is amazing. I also like to use the Timik and Stark with him, but the MK46 is more satisfying and has better killing potential when multiple people are slowed. After the buff to Tuff, MA42 is even more amazing.

My only real issue with him is now Support/Game Mode missions become a bitch. At least when I played Arty and Stoker I could give out ammo and destroy EVs/generators, finishing my missions and playing my favorites at the same time.
