I just don't understand how he fails to find the most obvious stuff like: a staircase he looks at, swings the camera, fights some enemies and then looks behind him and spots a shiny and assumes it must be a place you can go to later. Maybe it's because as soon as he spots a boss fog he tunnel visions or something. He did the same at Yorm's hood.
