Freeze Mage and Control Pally are awesome in tournament setting but those deck are very bad to ladder with because their matches are very long and sometimes you run into auto loss matchups like against warrior.

Gathering a 30 damage burst hand is almost going to require you draw your entire hand with a good curve that draws all your burst card and landing the emperor on a perfect curve. Pally while can't pressure as hard, has enough cards to put you low enough that the match isn't as easy as you seem to make it out to be. Especially if it is the Nzoth variant that runs plenty of deathrattle.
