If I destroy the crimson grass and leave the dirt alone, is it considered purified? Seems like nobody would bother to check

It is, but if any red grass/crimtane remains close it will grow back into the blocks you've cleared

Hey everybody! I haven't played or been on Veeky Forums for a few months, If anybody still remembers me could you tell me 1. has 1.3.1 or 1.4 come out yet? 3. Are the generals even more dead or have they picked up some steam?

meh, all the servers are dead, but most of the time there's always someone announcing they are opening the server and they get full in like 20 secs

Would it be a good Idea for me to try to make one or would it fail due to too many people/not enough people?

it's always nice when someone makes a server, but unless you use the secondary inventory for everyone so we all start from scratch then enjoy your hardmode bosses being spammed every 5 seconds

I don't I can handle vanilla after playing with mods for a good while.

Speaking of mods I just downloaded Thorium, Is there something I have to do to get it to work or is it automatically in the game?

You see the arrows on your keyboard? It's next to the numbers on the far right. Okay, look up to the next set of keys. Generally it'll be the ones with Insert/Delete/End/etc. Now look up a little higher and you can see the "Print Screen" key.

Just press that button, then open up a paint program or even Microsoft Word. Open a new page. Now press Ctrl+v.

Voila, screen shot. Upload to Veeky Forums. ??? Profit.

What mods do you use ?
I use thorium, tremor and zoalken, but are there some other worthwhile mods for 1.3 ?

I bought it off of Steam.

well i would suggest doing the following

-check your terraria version
-check if there are other mods installed
-if there are any remove them from the folder and reinstall tmodloader
-run tmodloader so it can create the folders
-install thorium through the ingame browser
-put the thorium file in the mods folder

if it doesn't work try opening the game normally to see if the problem is with your game files

It's ok, I've been playing it for a while and still haven't bothered with complex building or automated anything. You can still enjoy the game.

ADHD is not an excuse to not autistically play this 24/7.
You'll get a feel for it in time, early game is the most boring part so you might wanna inventory edit some pre-hardmode items to make it more fun.

I guess i'll just power through the beginning of the game to see how it pans out. I just struggle with the house building shit, it takes me a lot longer than i feel like it's supposed to.

Why not just give him the damn endgame weapons? Why not download the workshop world so he can have all the items he want?

I have an inventory editor and it's actually come i handy when the game bugs out, you just need to have self-control

keep going, worry about fancy buildings later when you have the time for this shit, worry about beating the game first, everybody needs to start somewhere and if building good looking shit was easy anyone would do it

and please, i know some people will disagree with me but avoid using programs and multiple worlds for resources, its more tiresome and repetitive but everything in this game is tiresome and repetitive so its not that much worse, you will feel a lot more accomplished when you actually earn that rare drop rather than just editing it in

From what I remember it was pretty shit, I much more liked opposing force.
Still, it's better than the original.
