Yep, any gear with a proc based on depleted shields is always active on Eldrid characters. The only exception is Kelvin, as he has shields but they're normally down, but he can get shields from various sources (Kleese, Reyna, his own permafrost ability) which would unproc the gear.

It was tested, unless they patched how Eldrid work they do not benefit from the "shield depleted" condition since they don't have a shield meter at all.
Those items work on Kelvin because he does have a shield, it just has a negative base regen.

One of the devs definitely waifu'd Galilea. Her kit is fucking absurd. Stuns, pulls, sciences, damage amps, she's the only one who can attack while sprinting, she's the only one with the wound debuff, a aoe dmg/heal/damage reduction ult, a huge damage shield, her damage is good, etc.
She's basically better than anyone at almost every roll. I'm nervous that someone wont let their speshul edgy marine waifu be anything besides "really strong".
not to forget her completely unique cc effect of wound which NO ONE ELSE IN THE GAME HAS

I mastered Orendi, but while she's great at working the objective, she has a bit of a hard time dealing with Marquis and Miko's healing and will be useless without any support.
Do you think I should work on Ghalt next? He'll be able to always disrupt the enemy team, no matter what my team's composition is.

Once concern is that I don't know what gear to take for dual wielding - Should I take attack damage or skill damage? It's weird, it feels like dual wielding is completely separate from the normal shotgun, and doesn't scale well enough into late game to compete.
On Ghalt? I'd take CDR above anything else.

Nope. Ratchet and Clank was #1 in the UK for a few weeks up until Uncharted 4 came out.
Uncharted 4 is still top now beating DOOM on 3 platforms. I highly doubt Battleborn has came close to outselling UC4 or even DOOM

I have master of Ghalt, he's amazing if you can land hooks and pretty mediocre if you can't.
Dual wielding is bad and rarely has a good use. It doesn't take any helix choices into effect so while it says "Doubles your damage output", it's at best a 50% increase, if you're landing all your shots. Past level 7-8 (where you get doubleshot) it's a distinct decrease. Couple that with a length "cast time", and the fact that it silences you, and it's just not really worth using unless you're level 10 and need the escape power of 25% movement speed or CC immunity.
He's a very good ganker but you should pretty much ignore his ult. For gear, I take his lore item, a legendary that increases skill damage and causes skill damage to give them a 6% damage amp, and then a reload mod. His power spikes really hard at lvl 7-8 so make sure you're clearing minions and dont chase too hard, you're playing the long game.

All the 3D models of the female characters are vastly inferior to their 2D versions so far, see: Deande and Mellka. At least Alani is Phoebe tier cartoonish CGI hot.
So what do you guys think we'll get in terms of personality? The "raised a healer but forced to be a warrior" backstory, vaguely Asian features and smirk of her 3D model make me think she'll be a kung fu femme fatale of calm righteous vengeance.
Mellka's art is pretty close to her in-game. I think she looks the best out of all the Battleborn females, honestly. Deande was going to look weird either way.
Knowing Gearbox, she's going to have an oedipus complex or something like that.
