Because they're bad and don't know shit. Only 'shitty' default gun is probably the Beamer pistol and even then that's debatable. Basically all extra guns are either sidegrades, although there are a few (Ursa, Polaris, Rhino, EM1 for example) that are just plain worse. There are also what are considered the most competitive (Anchor/Orion/MSW) based on the stats, but at the end of the day, it all comes down to the skill of the shooter.
Basically, aim better. The CARV is also still a good fucking gun, just don't fire full auto- above 25m range, your bursts shouldn't be more than 4 shots at a time.

I'm serious. Gauss rifle is shit, it's a "long range" weapon with close range varied recoil and huge fsrm, which makes it horrible for burst firing. Pulsar VS is the only AR that kicks 4 times in one direction while TR mini LMG T1 has horizontal tolerance as fucking tight as Gauss Saw, kicks 2 times and has nonbiased recoil, 143/750, and 40 bullets pet mag lol.
