Question to the pros out here

I can handle 140s but get kicked from GQs frequently. I have a clownsuit with several good skills and my defense is around 650.

Whats your criteria for kicking?

I probably wouldn't kick you. If someone doesn't have decorations, asks for their quest or especially urgent "after this" (particularly in a room with a specific monster labeled), has sub-600 defence, has mixed for skills like health up that are $100% useless, has a mixed set with no skills/bad skills (usually a transition between two fullsets), has an underleveled kinsect, is using a r7 or lower weapon, pulls something like the infamous "I want everyone to bring lifepowders!" when 1: that should be taken for granted and 2: repeatedly begging for people to bring lifepowders means you know you're a shitter, or has obviously hacked their gear it's a kick. And if someone can't join the quest because they aren't special permit I apologise and kick them or if I'm playing with friends and feeling generous ask if they're on gogmazios yet, if not I apologise and kick them.

Also unless they have a really good reason (I can't think of one off the top of my head!) triple carting in a GQ is a kick.

meter ups are easy to get in bushido and one of the hunter arts gives a free meter up and TONS of damage

bushido spirit slashes are vertical as well so its less trippy

it didnt have the gay ass meter up bullshit, and the damage you would get from that is just part of the base weapon

you filled the meter until flashing then dumped it on spirit attacks to extend your combos

But its Garuga Mask, the rest is Chameleos with Ritual Eidolons. I have HGE, Challenger 2, Status Attack 2, Windproof Lo, Speed Sharpening and Status Crit. My charm is Sharpness 10 (Speed Sharpening) and Carnivore 3 I think?

My defense is @650 and I usually eat for Defender Hi or Specialist.

And I have both Wystones.

Why not? They have great sharpness, para only bested by FnM (with only 10 less true raw), and good element on top of it.

That is incorrect. On DB with split attributes each blade gets one of the attributes, so they effectively only have the same para rate as a 130 pure para DB.

So if you were being honest, /mhg/, would you truly say that MHX is bad? Or is it really good? Is it a waste due to the gathering quests? Do the new monsters and styles make it worthwhile?

styles are garbage for the most part, one is really insane op and the others are strictly worse on most weapons

aerial is just a joke, only viable in online hunts and does fuckall damage

nyanter mode is actually really, really good and is a very nice addition to the game. building your nyanter for different roles and being able to switch to him whenever is great

the variant monsters are for the most part good, but blazing rathalos is cancer

osutogaroa is the best final boss monster the series has seen, and is an actual fight instead of gimmick trash

overall, not as good as 4u, but has some good ideas and is worth playing.

i should also mention, new maps are reallllly good, and show that they wanted to dial back on the ledges (swamp, deserted isle, etc)

the ones ported from 4u are fucking trash tho
