Strength starts out slow.
Technically, the first proper strength weapon you can get is the Greataxe, which you can farm from the greataxe-wielding hollows on the high wall.
Next is the Great Machete, which is farmable from the big red dudes in the settlement.
If yopu don't like farming, you have to wait until you kill greatwood and transpose Vordt's Hammer, which is actually one of the best greathammers.
