Hours are horrible for everyone when you're starting out. Especially if you're a newbie. As for male nurses, I heard they're higher in demand and I personally think doctors prefer male nurses over female. You do need the right mindset for being one though since there's the extra stigma and all for being in a female dominated profession. I honestly do recommend it if you're lazy and can't commit to being a doctor though.

Finding a job is real easy, every hospital/hospice needs more.

Work hours are complete trash, like oil rig level with the added double shifts and weekend shifts.

Its a good stepping stone to a PA degree, though, which has somewhat less shit hours and better pay.
