So apparently Chelsea is friends with this particular set of /tsg/ fucko's. Its like some /tsg/ spin-off series in the making.
Old /tsg/ sims, other players posted them a lot for a time. Aurora (the goth) is the oldest, Tina (browncop) is more recent, and Craig is still around.

The whole thing is really depressing. I really, really love The Sims and have been playing since the 1st one. Hundreds and hundreds of hours. I've spent maybe 1/10 the amount of time with Sims 4 than I did with Sims 3.
I hate EA so much. They have never recovered from something like this - with any franchise they have. Once they knock it out, they keep kicking it while it's down instead of trying to raise it back up. Meh.
I think it has to do with them trying not to make the game too intense because 3/4 of their fanbase is playing on Commodore 64s. The Sims 3 was just about perfect, design-wise. But because they can't optimist code and their userbase plays on whatever their parents hand down to them, they had to backpedal and gut it. Enter Sims 4. Sims 5 will probably be iOS.

Yea, there are so many things in TS4 that are two steps forward and one step back. The way sims look, react, animate, and multitask are fucking incredible, yet no open world, no CASt, and no more actually building your own worlds. It frustrates me so badly when I see something in a public lot that I can't fucking edit or replace or add to. TS4 is the only sims game that restricts you like this.

I think TS2 was probably the only Sims which had a nearly perfect base game. The expansions were okay, but man, that base game. >3 starter worlds >every family had an actual STORY >the stories were more than just 3 and 4's "whatshisname wants to be an artist, but his dad wants him to join the family business... what do?" >groceries and clothing shops in base game (more hassle than they were worth, but made the world feel real) >aspiration failure >platinum mood for doing well >OPTIONAL alien abductions in base game >schmooze the headmaster to get into a private school >aspiration rewards beyond just slightly better appliances, mood potions and traits
Too bad it's ugly as sin, because man TS2 was great.
