He doesn't respawn but you can run to the end of Farron Keep and farm the Darkwraiths there super quickly. Like, you don't have to fight any bosses. You just have to run to the swamp then do the three fires thing.

assuming your spell buff is 235, that's 775 damage without rings or boosts before defense
at 204 spell buff, that's 657.2

sunlight spear's formula is probably far different but you get the picture
higher spell buff = better

Fire witch helm is still shit. Not only does ot have a hideous design but it suffers from the BK/SK syndrome of "oh shit my head is now a tiny cylinder.
Keep in mind it also compresses what would be your head if it didn't cover you in blackface for whatever reason by pushing it so far back in the helm you look like a shitty anime character.
