Jun was sound director for Generations, but Crush 40 didn't make any new songs. Last game they wrote and performed songs for was Black Knight. They wrote the theme for Free Riders; they just didn't perform the in-game version.

I feel like within the professional sphere of the game industry, SEGA doesn't have nearly as bad a rep as they do among gamers and "journalists". Especially if you look at Japan where despite Japs never really being huge Sonic fans (or perhaps because they don't care about Sonic), SEGA is a huge presence. Besides game software development that we think of, they run arcades, they run restaurants, they run theme parks, they develop the vast majority of hardware used in arcades, they own a record company, they produce anime, they make otaku-pandering merchandise, etc. There's a lot more to SEGA than people usually think about.
I want one eventually, but not until the series is back to making consistently good games.
They must care somewhat with the DLC for LW and the fact they actually helped port cryengine 3 to Wii U for Boom and assisted them with the only and only patch for the game.
The only way it could work is if they did, and RPG, kart racing, fighting, Sonic boom styled generic adventure gameplay (but with someone like Retro controlling the project), or an RTS
Having learned about all of the development issues Boom went through, I just can't bring myself to hate it as much.
I unironically enjoy both boom games more than most games, theres a early PS2 era vibe in both the gameplay and visuals that just takes me back and I feel like I can still see some of their original image for this game in there that I want to see done right, that and the 3DS game is pretty fun and has some nice calming music
Well, there's still the 3ds sequel on the horizon and at least we know that SEGA hasn't killed all hope in the project.
Thats what I'm hoping for, they just need a good team at the head of the project and a good engine since its started to come out that Cry Engine isn't just bad on Wii U.
I still want Retro studios to have a shot at Sonic
The Boom brand itself seems to be doing fine with the toys and TV show too, so I don't think it's going away anytime soon. I just wish we still had the comics.
Sonic is a multimedia brand more than a game series at this point.

The show was just the best surprise we could have gotten. The first few episodes were rocky as hell but once they settled into that perfect amount of self-awareness in the writing, the show started hitting gold.
I love how they really fucked with shadow fans.

Am I the only one that seriously doesn't care about the show? Like, outside of a few jokes and scenes which were few and far between, it became a chore to watch.
It's a nice show to watch once in awhile, but I could never watch many back to back without getting sick of it.

I like it a lot but with it's format I can see why you could easily become tired of it. I don't have any problems binging through a few episodes.
Along with the comic it's probably the most active part of the franchise too, with S2 coming up soon.
I would rather have had some action/adventure show with Sonic, but I am genuinely surprised at how much I ended up liking the show, it's really funny to me.
