Her shields only last a second or so, but they make whoever you put them on invulnerable. You can toss it on someone as you see them get charged by Reinhardt or hooked by Roadhog and save their life. Try to use it reactively, in response to an enemy using the ultra, or if you or a teammate start taking damage from normal attacks. If you use it on someone you MIGHT think is ABOUT to start taking some damage and you turn out to be wrong, you've just wasted an extremely vital cooldown.

Damage she blocks with her shield goes into powering up her weapon. She starts off with really weak attacks but can scale up to do some fuckhuge damage. Save your ult for when you're fully charged and fully reloaded, or for when another teammate has theirs up as well.

DON'T use your ult against Genjis or Dvas unless you're catching them unaware, because they can deflect it back at you or cancel it altogether.

DO use your laser against them because their deflection/cancellation skills don't affect the laser

I'm good at wall riding, the problem is there aren't alot of good maps to do it on but to get 3 kills with out dying feels pretty fucking hard

Probably Mei, because she's useful in almost any situation, has no downsides that I can think of off the top of my head other than MAYBE her maneuverability, and is one of the few heroes where good aim isn't strictly necessary to play well. That last part is really what puts her over the edge for me.

Also her ult is arguably just a better version of Zarya's.
