A Nelson with the AA macro could remove the Taiho's squads in a single barrage, with maybe 1 or 2 planes left at 10% HP. Its ogre.

the two are like cars.
They come in Automatic and Manual And self-driving
Automatic takes care of just about everything for you.
Manual requires much more input.

WoWS is Automatic. You really only need to aim your guns, perhaps hit WASD now and again for positioning, though they actually have autopilot to handle that sort of thing. WASD to dodge torps unless you want to claim "I DID ALL I COULD OMG SKYCANCER, OMG DD CANCER!"

Your AA and secondaries is handled by the AI and your ability to aim is handled by RNG dice. You can do a battleship movie level turn, and fire with relative accuracy at a target in the distance in the middle of your turn.(RNG-Sama permitting of course.)
And the time-distortion and slower pace means if you are lucky, you'll enter combat at the 5 minute mark. If you are unlucky and the enemy went to the other side of the map.. perhaps 10 minute mark. Every 4 matches has a match effectively wasted in 'waiting to enter combat'. Torps also have a lead indicator of 'shoot them here and if the target doesn't change speed or angle, they will hit'

Steel Ocean is manual. You relatively complete control your ship. The AA, the 2ndries, the guns and torps. No torp guide other than "It will shoot in this direction, and dud range indicator"

You cannot do a wild turn and accurately fire in the middle of it, and after the turn you'd need some time to aim your guns properly. (Unless you've practiced locking your guns before the turn, in which case both could be plausible.)

It's a different type of game, wargaming are autistic about realism, have accurate models and sloow ships, here everything is arcadey, fast and accurate, the AA is deadly because you manually control it but the planes can be made to dodge etc. Also SO has much less budget and fewer players because

Wasnt it selective realism like the slavs behind war blunder? AKA the german vehicle will have less armor/damage than it should because low quality materials or secret dokumimints while the slavic counterpart uses data from a firing range on a perfect day that even gets buffed.

or the German ME-163 rocket plane will be utter shlt despite actually existing and flying.
While the Glorious Nipponese version based off the same planes provided to them by the Germans.. But never succeeded in actual flight (30 seconds before engine/plane crashed) having almost 2x the climb rate.

What level should my sluts be for E-1

The real shit starts at E-5. Until that point you'll be fine with level 60's especially if you roll easy mode. I generally consider ships event-worthy for Easy when they're at 60, 70+ otherwise. I'm not one of them autists who run later tier maps on Hard though. I can only imagine how military grade aspie one has to be to deal with E-6 on Hard.

When you buy a T2/3/4/5/6 ship you'll receieve 150 qualification PER tier you get

But only the first time you buy those tiers.

So basically.. open a slot in your port, buy a T2, sell it, buy a T3, sell it, buy a T4, etc.
^ if you want it now, otherwise if you're working on a new line you'll get them naturally with time.

I like their BB's quite a bit. First few are odd, but T5+ are pretty good, and Queen Elizabeth's a favorite.

I've killed many a BB with invisifire using her top guns. She just isn't for torping. Scouting and fire are her strong points.

I like to corner them with torps or disrupt their aiming using half of my torps for an easy approach and finishing them off with the rest of the torps.

Here's a small BB trick:
>aim near you, hold right click
>move mouse to where you want to calibrate
>let go of right click and shoot immediately
This will fire right in front of you while giving you calibration where you want it, meaning it won't spook DDs or make it obvious what flank you want to fight on.
