Vermintide is not nearly as good as it seems.
It's very melee-focused, but the melee system is clunky as fuck and very block/dodge based. This wouldn't be as bad if not for the fact that enemy hit detection is about two to three times longer than what you would expect it to be. Here's a video showing what I'm talking about:

The dude who went down was the fucking host, so it's not server lag. That's just the reach normal enemies have.
Two-handed weapons don't OHK the shitty swarm enemies unless you charge the attack first. This makes them basically useless, as weapon-and-shield combos can also achieve OHK charge attacks while also not being complete garbage at blocking.
Ranged weapons are very limited in ammo and generally don't deal very much damage.
Wayfarer players hog all of the goddamn ammo because they're bow-wielding elf faggots and spout "i'm a ranged character" whenever you tell them to knock that shit off, despite the fact that all characters have ranged weapons.
If you thought card drops were bad, you have not experienced Vermintide's equipment rolls. You have a fairly good chance of getting fucking NOTHING from completing a match. The only way to improve your chances is to grab Tomes and Grimoires, which take up inventory space and reduce your health.
Speaking of equipment, item rarity determines stats! This means you're not going to have good equipment until you slog through the 40 minute minimum levels multiple times (and even then it's only a chance you'll get it).
Equipment can come with Traits, which is basically Vermintide's version of Perk Decks. A fully-kitted weapon more or less has Grinder, Rogue, and Gambler equipped simultaneously.
The community is super, super dead.
There are a wide variety of other issues that Vermintide has, but I'm not going into them because that would involve making a ton of posts and I just don't give enough of a fuck to do that.
