Someone do palette tests for that room.

I've never seen anything but green/purple for that room. It's like that on real hardware for me too.

...

I doubt it will be anywhere near as dramatic as the red bricks.

NTSC has poorly defined reds, so that's part of the problem.

Are there other consoles that suffer from the same NTSC color woes as the NES?

Any console with analog output, potentially. All the DACs have their quircks.

Is there a good way besides installing Windows 7/XP to play old pc games on modern hardware /emugen/?

Pic related is some DirectDraw wrapper that was supposed to fix the game in modern hardware.

superuser.com/a/881230/599039 Can this be applied to all old DirectX games?

It's kinda of funny how pc emulate all kinds of console games but when it comes to old pc games shit gets rough.

OoT is overrated, but thats fucking pathetic that he couldn't kill Ganon with near full upgrades and max health.

Forgot pic

Movement speed seems really sped up. What's the internal frame rate?

>Movement speed seems really sped up
No, that just Doom

You move/turn much slower in the PSX version:

youtube.com/watch?v=K3xqeiRN5mo&list=PLFK2eL5cls5b1cnVyZ8zWNYyrvxuOTHY6

A lot of consoles natively generate RGB and thus have objective color palettes, however. The NES does not.

IIRC he was playing the VC version with a classic controller, whose analog stick is way too sensitive compared to the N64's, which can make aiming the light arrows quite hard.

Boohooh, the little faggot cannot make easy moniez with his emulators, booh hooh.

Selling bsnes/higan licenses for $2500 to the new bubsy IP owner is not again for poor little byuu. Booh hooh.

Now all you guys all ready for more selective outrage from a bunch of guys just crying over their 'missing income'? LOL.

Fuck byuu, endrift, and all the other faggots in emudevland. Get yourself a real job niggers insted of panhandling.

"@pgandlabs @endrift Or go one generation behind on slower ARM devices. I hear DraStic is making a killing on Google Play."

Exophase is the new hero for byuu.

But remember, it's all about "DA PRESERVATIONZ!!!!!!!!!"

"@endrift @pgandlabs It's an idea though. If he's really a millionaire over it, then *now* is the time to start work on a 3DS Android emu :P"

Pathetic really

>"@endrift @pgandlabs It's an idea though. If he's really a millionaire over it, then *now* is the time to start work on a 3DS Android emu :P"
Hadn't though about that, but if you look at DraStic's release history it's slowed down drastically over the past year. Exophase very well may have already started a 3DS emulator.

>always uses anime avatars

You just KNOW he's a fat unathletic nerd like the erest of the weebs.

>byuu

Irrelevant for years. Guy can't make anything to top bsnes. Tried to get into an ego pissing contest with RetroArch by trying to compete directly with them with Higan. Pissed away any brand recognition he had by ditching "bsnes" for "I am totally in love with Japan" style name.

Guy could do something like focus on another console and bring it to bsnes level quality emulation, but instead has bit off more than he can chew and just stagnates.

Really, bnes should have been his next focus. He could make it pretty much perfect.

Probably all with the same stolen documentation again as he is known for with his 0-day GBA emulator.

Quite the hypocritical lot these guys are to make this same propaganda over and over again that "emulators are DA LEGALZZ!!!!" when they all get their docs from WarioWorld in the end. Pathetic really. But when should you start expecting a sub-warez scene to be 'honorable' about what they do.

Fuck these sycophantic 'emu devs' thogh.

I wonder whether you're paying attention to what is being said or whether you're simply making nonsensical rants. Also, what job do you actually have that takes so much effort to be considered "real"?

>stolen documentation
>stolen

>he has to steal docs
>he doesn't have companies give them to you

>I wonder whether you're paying attention to what is being said or whether you're simply making nonsensical rants.

I see one tranny 'genderqueer mess' and one homosexual weaboo - both broke - being envious as fuck about their favorite hero Exophase and wishing they could make his dough with their own emulators.

That's what I see. Two brokeass niggers bumming for dollars. Let me throw something in there since we're fishing for ideas: Maybe start a 'Youtube career' and try to become the next Pewdiepew, I dunno?

>Two brokeass niggers

Didn't byuu sell his SNES collection or something?

Surely that's been worth some shekels.

dolphin a best

endrift and byuu very accurate emulators that people still use. Less can be said for some nameless individual on the internet who feels the need to insult people in order to maintain an ego.

*(made very accurate emulators)

mooch put your trip back on

Serious question, but have you ever thought about checking for a schizophrenia diagnosis? Might be an easy way to get free govt money. You might even find out you're in fact mudlord.

1/8 of those are me.

if only they could 'emulate' being straight.

...

Just like I remember it

Emulation devs work hard to provide us free content and to enjoy old video games. Then a bunch of man children shreik that they must have lives of poverty? They deserve to profit for their hard work like anyone else.

I myself donate to the patreons of several emulation projects. Would CEMU have gotten anywhere it has without the donations? I think not. I have on my Android device several high quality emulators that, yes I paid for. And I'd do it again. Quality products with months of work put into them deserve to be rewarded.

Mednafen, RetroArch and other projects are holding us back, by clinging to this poor man poverty mindset. They jealosly try to tear anyone down who tries to earn money for their work. If they just got with the program, they would be less bitter, and their projects would greatly benefit from it.

is that eartbound

Seriously though, how is paypal so popular when they are never not being cunts and fucking their customers over?

As long as I've known paypal I've been baffled by this.

You better port WINE to Windows 10 or something

Mooch is going to tell you to use PCem but fuck that faggot

Making emulation development into a business has dangerous implications.

Just look at how CEMU withholds source code and uses DRM.

That's Squarepusher

What kind of DRM? Can someone provide a binary?

I thought byuu decided to close his PayPal account because he just disagreed with PayPal's decision. Not just because he wanted extra money.

Anyway I think that with all the talent these emuladmtor devs have most of them should already be making serious coin from the real programming jobs.

>Donating to CEMU

>Anyway I think that with all the talent these emuladmtor devs have most of them should already be making serious coin from the real programming jobs.
isn't byuu a high school dropout?

He's lying. There's no DRM in CEMU.

Yes, I donated to CEMU. And I'd do it again. It's one of the most promising emulation projects out there.

If the same amount of support was given to saturn, n64 or other systems, we would not be in this mess right now.

The twice downloaded Reddit frog really make this post

8/10, you'll get some replies, though you forgot to mention your wife's son

>Would CEMU have gotten anywhere it has without the donations?
Yes. Would it have gotten to where it is without the free documentation and information provided by the hacking and homebrew community? Absolutely not.
>He's lying. There's no DRM in CEMU.
Yes there is. Patreon builds need a serial key to run. Newer builds have/will have online DRM.

He is. He still works as a software dev though.

Software companies usually don't care about your degree as long as you have experience. The hard thing in that situation is to get your foot in the door.

Seriously, why should we care? And why do you care?

How does running the original hardware on a hdtv with framemaister compare to running ra on a new monitor using something like crt royale with just the scanlines? thanks

>Would CEMU have gotten anywhere it has without the donations? I think not.

They would have gotten nowhere without that Oman-style leak, that is for sure.

Which returns us to this particular issue: if it were open source, it would quickly transpire where most of this is coming from.

It's as 'legal' as making Overwatch porn with Source Filmmaker. Just see how much Blizzard tolerates that.

Well HDTVs have a shitton of input lag, so RA on a monitor would be much better.

Metric?

Geez you're dumb.

>Newer builds have/will have online DRM.
lol wut? So now the emu requires online access? Or is this just for the early builds?

After PPSSPP crashing on startup, I'm trying to get rid of any remaining traces of Motioninjoy following the wiki. Uninstalled via the control panel ages ago, but when I use pnputil to try to get rid of the drivers command prompt cuts off the top of the list.

Any other way to check for the drivers?

The patreon builds. They connect to a server to check the serial.

That sounds kind of weak, can't you just dump the executable once it's running?

The problem is, no one smart enough to do that is stupid enough to pay for an emulator.

Why was exclusive full-screen removed from PCSX2?

...

This looks worse than before. You're making anti-progress.

Can you please tone down your language? This is a safe place for emudevs. #InnacurateIsBeautiful #StopEmuShaming.

>Motioninjoy
The horror.

Can anyone share their config for Okami on PCSX2? Curious to know which speedhacks work with it.

>Didn't get the PS3 version for 5 freedombux last weekend

How long utnil IceCatHunter is bought up by Sony to make a new PS1 emluator?

It's pretty shocking how bare bones the PS1 emulator on PSN is. Software only. Native res only.

That's too bad, I don't keep up with Sony sales.

>Pic related is some DirectDraw wrapper that was supposed to fix the game in modern hardware.
Is it normal that Diablo II plays at 24 fps for me?

Guys, how do I get Rayman to work on epsxe?
I'm trying to boot the game from my original disc, but it simply doesn't boot up.
I've tried online guides on how to fix it, many of which told to install and configure cd and audio plugins, but it still doesn't work.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

I have downloaded that.

RA > $400 scanline filter
At least 40ms plus what the framemeister ads on top plus more if you're using a wireless controller.

Because 99% of people don't experience this shit because they don't dabble in grey area shit.

They love to babble on about how emulates have proven to be legal by court cases because they've read a wikipedia but in actuality they're continued existence relies on companies not giving two shits about autistic niches.

Use mednafen in RA, it's not great if you want to play games in HD but since Rayman is a 2D game it doesn't matter. You'll be able to use fancy shaders as well.

>epsxe
Here we go again.

Shaders are for ill-informed plebs. Nearest-neighbor or bust.

Alright. Is there a tutorial video on how to set it up, since i'm a big dummy?
>You'll be able to use fancy shaders as well.
I think I won't be needing those, because I have a CRT monitor.
What's wrong with epsxe?

emulation.gametechwiki.com/index.php/Dummies_Guide:_RetroArch

Holy moly! Just what I needed!

>Use mednafen in RA, it's not great if you want to play games in HD
But HD 3d games is exactly why you'd want to use Beetle. Standalone will suffice for 2D

I still prefer RA's interface over standalone mednafen's, all other things being equal.

Game?

Mother 2

I hit a roadblock.
I did follow the guide, but when I try to:
>Load Content → Select File And Detect Core and selecting your game.
It just shuts off the application
I extracted the gamefiles from the .7zip in to a folder and I'm trying to boot up the game from the .cue file.
I Dumped the bios files in the system folder in retroarch and I downloaded the mednafen cores in the app itself.
Did I fuck something up?

Check your Directory settings to make sure the System Directory is set correctly.

Where do I find the BIOS for the Neo Geo CD? The proper 512kb one, I can't find it anywhere.

ia801903.us.archive.org/zipview.php?zip=/3/items/MESS-0.151.BIOS.ROMs/MESS-0.151.BIOS.ROMs.zip

>Newer builds have/will have online DRM.

Someone give me a name of a good looking 2d game to play

I mostly want it to test out a CRT shader in SweetFX

Freedom Planet

CV: Symphony of the Night

Murumasa on Wii

I have set up /retroarch/system as directory for the System/BIOS Dir.
I dumped the psx BIOS files from the zip file to that system folder.
It's still not booting up.

absolutely insane really that things have come this far. and sickening. how people jumped the shark.

you don't put them in subfolders

Thanks a lot!

So it was under that MESS section on the wiki, whatever that means. Well, now I'll now where to look for other stuff. Again, thank you, you were great help.
