What if constantly dematerializing yourself into a liquid and back causes the most burning, screaming, cartilage snapping pain beyond anyone's comprehension, but the inklings do it over and over again in their forced training for the impending Second Great Turf War?

The way I understand it is that the little ghostspirit thing you see fly away after splatting is the Inkling itself.
All it does is possess and control ink around itself, creating a body.
The machine pulls the spiritghostthing back to habitual ink, so it can reform itself.
Who knows to what extent this process hurts or not.

they can be slick and slimy like squid tentacles, but still be thick and pillowy. after all, they certainly look much thicker than real squid tentacles.
or maybe they've just evolved over time to be pillow-like. that's a possibility too.

It's hell, user. I have reached S+ a few months ago only to lose it in 30 minutes. I haven't been able to get back, and I'm stuck around S 30-50.

I've made S my home, fuck S+. Just being happy with where you are instantly makes it more enjoyable.
