Some characters like Ralf have 1f links in their basic low starter combos but for the most part combo structure is normal, command normal xx special into a super or drive cancel depending on your meter situation.

Basic combos in KoF XIV will much the same, only for one bar you'll be cancelling into max mode and juggling with EX moves.
