POST EXPLOSIONS

post cait

Anyone know how to "hard bake" legendary effects into equipment without actually making them full legendary effects in the CK?

I'd like to make it so that each type of power armor has some of their own unique abilities, like T-51, being the lightest and most power efficient has VATS efficiency for arms and speed boost for legs, and maybe slower core drain for the chest and head pieces.

How hard would it be to make a mod that makes filling water bottles gives you "bottled purified water" that gives you the bottle back when you drink it?

What about giving you an empty bottle when drinking nuka-cola along with a cap?

Also why are there so many rads in my freshly grown crops? How do people survive if everything they grow is still so irradiated?

...

institute go boom boom

I like automatic weapons more than semi-auto.

Is there a mod that makes auto/semi-auto damage comparable?

fag

How hard would it be to make a mod that makes fusion cores not automatically replace, and go down to 0% instead of disappearing, so you have to get out and manually replace the cores?

Would it be possible to add like a building you can place in settlements, that's just like a container you can chuck fusion cores into and it slowly adds charge to them? So you could put your 0% cores in there and come back in a few days to have some charged up ones?

Or the ability to craft two cores together to get one 0% core and one with the charge of the two you started with combined onto it?

Can you make it so you can apply mods directly to power armor frame?
I was thinking of something like a "hybrid" system, like how a car uses the friction of braking to charge the battery, make it so the basic version will take the inertia of falling and make it add a small amount of charge when you land, and then a more advanced version could recharge the core instead of draining it if you're just walking, not sneaking, running or sprinting, maybe even a super advanced version that adds gives you a bit of energy damage resistance and makes the frame absorb energy damage to use some to recharge the core.

Painting the frames could be a nice touch too.

I've really been wanting to make some mods for this game, but I have no idea how posible my ideas are.

fuccboi

>How do people survive if everything they grow is still so irradiated

They all have the lead belly perk

Also Rads go away when you cook the food, if you eat raw animal meat or raw vegetables without washing them of course you might get a little sick. Moreso with meat.

doesnt sound very balanced I M H O

gun manufacturers are well known for making their guns balanced, wouldnt want customers killing people effectively with em T B H

Why do Bethesda remove all the small but neat improvements New Vegas introduced? Slideshows at the start and end of DLC was cool.

Or you could just make it so it puts the lowest power fusion core in your inventory into the power armor instead of the highest, so you don't end up with 15 98% fusion cores.

So /fog/, if there were legitimate scrapping and weaponcrafting in FO4, what crazy fucking weapons would you make?

What are some simple recipes I can use to cook crops instead of just eating them raw? It seems everything needs meet or water or something else to make, I just want to like wash and chop up my veggies so I don't get the radiation.

Bethesda didn't "remove" anything that NV "added"

Bethesda didnt make NV

You're right but thankfully I don't have to worry about balance in my single player game in which there is no natural balance per se between myself and the artificial intelligence, therefor despite any amount of straining, grunting, and forcing I am unable to produce so much as a single fuck to give.

...

You know what I mean faggot. There was no reason to cut out or ignore all the good stuff.

Just to be 100% clear, does Gunslinger also affect special weapons such as the Kneecapper or Sydney's Ultra SMG?

Legendary Stair-Climbing Brahmin

New vegas didn't introduce slideshows at the start/end, those were in Fallout 3 and probably the Isometric games beforehand but I never played those so I don't know.

I think Tato + carrot + dirty water = vegetable soup

I consoled in dirty water because its so stupid that you HAVE to cook with dirty fucking water.

I think the easiest recipe is Razorgrain + dirty water makes noodles.

Yep. It does. It affects both the regular and unique versions.

Really? I played the Fallout 3 DLC and don't remember slideshows at all.

Where can I find the model of the milk bottle with the cork in it? I want to use it for a mod.

The one where ALL synthetics are purged.

get the clean water recipe mod THQ

I'd kind of like to do a mod that boosts the damage of all automatic weapons just a bit, maybe only 20%, but the real gold would be giving them all an inherit Furious effect, so the more you keep your fire concentrated on one target, the more damage you do, and with a high enough rate of fire, it would stack up pretty fast.

Least that's the idea.

vanillafag here
is fah hahbah/season pass worth it

>Furious anything with rapid receiver
It'd be more fun than a furious ripper I found

>Kneecapper or Sydney's Ultra SMG
Are those 1h pistol-grip weapons?

I'd make a gun that shoots out flaming swords that, in turn, explode when they embed themselves within an enemy.

Go to a cooking station and select 'soup'. There's plenty of soups to make that are very good. Veggie soup only requires carrots and tatos (and dirty water which is super, super, super easy to get and commonplace).

Squirrel and Iguana soups are harder to get since the meat isn't very commonplace. Radstag stew is OK but since Grilled Radstag gives +CW it's better than the energy resist radstag stew gives.

Noodle Cups (Water + Razorgrain) are amazing on survival mode since they fulfill both hunger and thirst.

Yes but the wiki didn't explicitly state them, and I play Warframe, where many things in the game are arbitrary and stupid.

fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_3_endings

They were voiceover slideshow videos, just like in F:NV.

It's just that I cannot come up with a single reason, other than that nebulous 'gameplay balance' that is thrown out there, for someone to be unable to craft a full-auto receiver that isn't just as good as a semi-auto one. For that matter, how does a receiver boost damage in the first place?

Truly is the best waifu

She appears to have excessive amounts of fat stored within her mammary glands. Is large quantities of fat attractive to you, user?

Slideshow endings were in the games since Fallout 1 you underage Fallout 3 baby, everyone who isn't a retarded casual knows that. I'm talking about DLC.

M8, he means slideshows for the openings and endings of the DLC not the main game.

Fo3 had none, F04 has none. NV did.

I assume the damage is increased by letting the bullet be fired faster, and the stronger reciever (hardened, advanced) makes sure you don't break the gun in doing so.

>tfw looked into physics in outfit studio
>no clothing skeleton exists

>I'm talking about DLC.
Oh, the DLC was mostly awful in the previous games so I never paid much attention to those.

>How does the receiver boost damage
Honestly, no idea unless the receiver changes ammo type, which should also affect magazine size.

If it were up to me, the upgrade system wouldn't be so linear. We'd also have specialize ammo types in handgun and rifle sized cartridges.

This would slash a lot of legendary effects, but I feel like then it would just mean that legendaries would need to be more interesting and unique in their effect.

Sometimes they'd be expressly unique, immutable modifications done to a gun or piece of armor (like some absolute madman of a raider made a special receiver for a shotgun so it could fire two shells from each barrel. Somehow) Othertimes legendaries would have an implied air of supernaturalness to them (a rifle from a fallen BoS hero who specialized in killing mutants, which seems to have somehow imprinted on lucky anti-material 'hunting' rifle)

Also, weird thing I discovered making new playthroughs to test something: apparently they were making commercials for Fat Man launchers.

>letting the bullet be fired faster
In order to fire the bullet 'faster' you'd need to alter the cartridge itself, not the receiver. So you'd actually have to retool every single round you find to the new standard.

Do you already like FO4? Then Far Harbor is probably worth it. But if you don't already like the game, and you're expecting FH to make it worth playing, prepare for disappointment.

Post your settlement entrance.

Then I don't know. Look, it just works. Don't question, and make your checks out to T.Howard

I'd be ok with it if Beth went full retard into it. Have America live on through cities on the moon and mars, and the aliens being FEV modified chinese communists. Devote a Point-Lookout style DLC to purging some part of the moon of them. This can then start a spinoff series.

If Beth is going to rape Fallout's lore, they might as well go full retrofurist fantasy with it.

theres a mod that changes the damage boost the automatic perk gives.

What gun?

I WANT.

...

the KwK 36 88mm cannon with HEAT shells from Modern Firearms

That's the biggest problem Bethesda has: no matter what direction they go in, they always half-ass it. I would never respect them for turning Fallout into a big dumb action series that appeals to the same people who watch Transformers movies and actually laugh WITH the movie instead of AT the movie, but if they're going to do that, the least they could do is actually fucking earn its 12 million first day sales and make a Fallout game that puts all other big dumb action games to fucking shame. Instead, they just cruise on by, riding the brand name wave until it's not there anymore.

>unpack meshes to sift through them again
>Find this

>Effects folder
>Crit skeleton

>There was going to be a weapon / perk / etc that would blow an enemies skin off and just leave a skeleton behind
>Got scrapped

Hey, I have a couple of those cans back at my dad's. Found 'em in the woods.

what kind of guy doesn't like Big fat titties?

It's what the model for purified water is based off of.

This is why I don't understand why people fanboy for Bethesda so hard. There was so excuse for Fallout 4 being as bad as it is, especially not after Obsidian showed them how it's done.
I think they just don't care.

One without mummy issues.

>Always somehow inside a house they couldn't get into normally.
>Usually in the way when they're not laying down in my kitchen.
>Can't move or push them at all.

I hate the brahmin in this game.

The kind who's more interested in attractive, fit females who don't stuff their faces with horrible food and actually work out regularly.

Probably the fatman.

anyone completely forget about finding their son?
I could just wander around this game all day

How could you possibly forget about MY SON?

I HAVE NO SON

I try to but it's not easily when every conversation shoves "MUH WIFE, MUH ITTY BITTY BABY BOY" down your throat.

What always amuses me is that for such a 'bad' game which people constantly criticize, here we are playing and discussing and modding and having a wonderful time of it.

This is why I want console mods to become fucking MASSIVE. The bigger that gets, the more we can educate the consumers Bethesda actually gives a shit about as to what kind of much better game they COULD be getting if their favorite developer didn't cut literally every good idea they have ever fucking have. Let's see them slack off with TES VI when the people expecting them to try harder have become the majority of their audience. Let's see them take IGN seriously when they're getting hammered with literally millions of emails of console kiddies telling them to do the opposite of what IGN says.

>implying I have a son.

have you ever seen a fit woman with huge tits?

they're literally gods

Have you tried renaming the bones?

Probably laser/plasma. Plasma weapons of some older makes were specifically stated to burn hot enough to melt everything except the greater skeleton structure.

CAIT IS FIT NOT FAT

What son?

Because you fanboy faggots drove out everyone else with your constant shitposting, so all Fallout 1, 2, and NV discussion was forced to /v/.
New Vegas still gets talked about MUCH more than Fallout 4 over there. 4's already dropped, there's nothing to talk about.

>go around telling everyone it's none of their business
>tell everyone that asks to fuck off
>kill any non essential character that asks
>piper still finds a way to get my life story on the radio

i swear i'd live in the institute if it wasn't just a giant room with bunk beds.

I have, and they're mediocre at best.

Big tits are for adolescent crushes and masturbatory sessions. So don't worry, once you grow a bit more hair on that chest you'll start getting better taste in women.

^This
Buffscale's porn reeks of mental issues regarding his mother

Isn't that how energy weapons used to work in F3?

Why are people who don't make mods so fucking stupid when it comes to modding?

Yeah, fit to be bred like the sow she is

>Low test
Damn, user. How does your dad feel about rearing a genetic failure?

Bethesda are pretty persistent with railroading people.

>I have, and they're mediocre at best.

Liar. There's like 3 in existence. You haven't seen one.

No
Your probably thinking of EVE

or turn into buffscale

That looks awful

You're right, there's absolutely NOTHING to talk about and this thread is completely and utterly dead. Entirely devoid of any discussion or merit.

There is a good reason that most game design has the creative team separate from the actual coders. Modding teams rarely have that luxury.

>there will never be another new vegas

Any idea why this keeps happening in the creation kit? Half the time all the textures show up as pure black, and I have to keep reopening the ck until it works

Oh, no. I forgot about that method actually. Hmm....maybe I'll try that and make a physics enabled cape using the elegant hair physics as a base.

>The best coast in real life is the worst coast for a Fallout game

Suffering.

Please, Buffscale, we get that you like useless fat deposits on ugly whores, no need to beat this dead horse any further.

>There is a good reason that most game design has the creative team separate from the actual coders. Modding teams rarely have that luxury.

Oh I know, I'm more complaining about the mod consumer base being completely and utterly useless I think I'm going to wait till all patches are out in a game before I release mods. Fuck these people

>TFW shit at bodyslide and wished someone would make something in your fetish range because you keep fucking it up

I mis-read your statement and thought you were asking why 'people who make mods' not people who don't.

What exactly are you upset about with regards to 'people who don't make mods'?
