The "perk" Shielded only affects ranged.

Units with shields typically have more armour though, which does affect melee.

Mannfred has a quest battle at the very bottom of the map and I can't see how you ever fucking do it without dying of attrition on the way back

He who battles AI should look to it that he himself does not become the AI... when you gaze long into the abyss, the abyss also gazes into you.

Really though, isn't anyone going to remove forced march? It's been a stupid or broken feature in every game its been in and the AI plays much better without it.

They make sense in that it lets dwarfs and goblins be really hard to attack (mountains being slow as fuck)

I've gotten the +10% movement thing, The Hunger, and unlocked every Death spell. Not going to upgrade any spell, since cooldown isn't an issue. Also the Tome of Vampires seems like it's sort of shit, so I just haven't bothered.

Should I go grab more spells, build stats, go battle skills, or campaign skills? What's really good?
