Last thread:

Daily reminder that Stellaris will be abandoned and forgotten and there will be no DLC or expansions ever.

>collectivists hate enhanced leader
What is this fucking retardry?

Yeah it's a video game.

Why you keep up this meme. They literally have confirmed DLC

>no DLC
>or expansions
Oy vey, what a horrible thought!

(You)

What would a Donald Trump civilization look like?

What would a Bernie Sanders civilization look like?

What would a Hillary Clinton civilization look like?

>want to research AI and make robofriends
>suddenly have flashbacks from watching the matrix second renaissance animations
>cancel research
>trash even the non sentient robots
>nuke any race that uses robots and AIs back into the stone age just to be safe

>no militarism
the fuck OP

You did well user.

Pirate here. Does anyone have v.2.0 of Synthetic Empire? Skymods doesn't have it updated and I'm on 1.1

Is aiming for 90%+ happiness a worthwhile strategy? 20% bonus for all production on top of my racial bonuses sounds overpowered as fuck.

Seems like a lot of work to get it right, though.

>Spartan Federation

Stat us. What traits, gov for each?

>practically any snes game in 1991

>$60.00 MSRP, Adjusted for inflation, you pay only $34.16.

>Everyone: "BUHH COMPANIES ARE SO GREEDY WHY DO WE NEED TO PAY FOR DLC LOL I PAID FULL PRICE HRURR"

DO THE FUCKING MATH.

Plutocracy, Despotic Hegemony, Plutocracy.

Bernie sanders is nice seeming, but he caters to the worst of the millennials who'd rather do away with free speech than have their fee fees hurt.

>replying to memes
Collectivism isn't even particularly good now that purging is objectively wasteful.

>The Donald
Militarism-Xenophobe-Materialist
Indirect Democracy
>Bernie
Collectivist-Pacifist-Xenophile
Peaceful Bureacracy
>Hillary
Fanatic Militarism-Xenophile
Indirect Democracy

fuck off individualist scum

>purging unhappy pops to replace them with happy pops
>wasteful
Are you retarded?

...

fucking oldfag

Drop the pacifism on Deirdre and make her fanatic xenophile.
Drop the materialist on Lal and make him fanatic pacifist.

>ruler nearing 90
>was sure he'd be dead by next roll
>find space tree
>get 50 more years
>roll 3 straight +5 lifespans
This fucking heir must be salty as fuck right now

>purging pops and having an undermanned planet for 15 years when you could just convert and have a perfectly happy one in 10
>when tech cost is now bound to planets
No, but you are.
Democracies blow the fuck out of other governments and individualist buildings are great.
>collectivist
>happiness
lmao see

Lal doesn't like spiritualism though so I think materialism fits him.

>160 years in
>researching tier 2 reactors
>+11%
>3/5
>maxed out minerals

fucking scrub

>wasting the tree on leaders
>not getting that delicous +15% happiness

Friendly reminder that ironic democracy is the strongest government in the game next to democratic utopia.
5% now in Clarke

I was focusing on my war fleet not resource management, was more focused on resource production than storage.
I'm also in the process of integrating a vassal.
It's 3/5 because I created sectors to stop it from bitching at me.

Already bored of stellaris.
It's all micromanagement with no strategy.

>not military dictatorship

I bet youre a xenophile as well u fegget

>play Superman 64
>hundreds of hours of happiness
>only cost $35

Not being materialist doesn't necessarily make you spiritualist though.

No but when someone makes a point to dislike a thing it makes sense to put them as the opposite.

The warfare is the worst part.
>click on enemy homeworld to get your one and only major battle per war
>"""grand""" """"""strategy""""""

HOLY FUCKING SHIT STOP FUCKING FOLLOW ME ALLIES AND GO FIGHT THE FUCKING WAR ELSEWHERE

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I FUCKING HATE THIS GAME

Stacking penalty fucking when?

You mean for fleets? First they need to fix combat AI and that's not for several patches.

n..no I won't split up and help defend invaders on the other side of your empire :^)

>stacking penalty
That makes zero fucking sense. There's no reasonable or rational justification for any sort of stacking penalty for ships in space, they can't suffer from attrition you retard.

1.1 left beta. did it fix anything new? is pop divergence still shit?

The problem is it feels like an RTS but has non-existent combat tactics or controls that are bread and butter for RTS games. Like, if they could just map Sins of a Solar Empire's combat mechanics into this game somehow, I'd love it.

I'M A FUCKING 40K FLEET I DON'T NEED YOUR FUCKING SHITTY 5K HELP

RRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I don't give a shit you autistic retard.

>microing a dozen fleets in a dozen battles

which is what you'd HAVE to do if the games AI was actually any good

>years of trying to make them happy
>years of constantly draining influence and energy trying to keep them from rebelling
Or
>purge and resettle
>have a self sustaining planet in a couple years

You're the autistic retard who can't handle playing a simple video game.

Sounds like you're just bad at managing planets.
>bleeding tech just so you can drop the le ebin groBhumanium meme
Nah.

Fuck off Johan.

Micro is what makes an RTS and RTS. Right now you just click on the enemy fleet and then watch ships blow up, it's practically an auto-calc battle. You can't reposition or pull some ships back, you can do formations, there's no active abilities for you to use.

I wouldn't mind it so much if the game's victory conditions didn't require you to conquer shit.

>he doesn't have the code for ß memorized

it's not an RTS

What kind of victory conditions do you want than?

have 70% of all planets in your federation? (Diplo Vicotry?)
Winning by researching some really expensive end game tech? (Tech victory?)
Purging 1000 xeno pops? (Hitler Victory?)

>ally declares war on his neighbor
>don't really give a fuck so im sitting this out
>he fucking sends his entire fleet to follow my ships that are parked over my homeplanet
>have to spearhead the entire invasion to go back to peace

gsg is paused RTS

>not building Großhumanium
If you don't own the entirety of at least one arm on a 1k star map, you're a failure of a man.

Just more options. I mainly dislike that the goals are military oriented when warfare is limited and shitty. It's like they want the end game to be boring as hell.

So yeah, diplomatic victories of various kinds would be nice, research victories, etc. Some kind of end-game event chain or crisis that can lead to victory.

it's not a gsg either

>it's not an RTS
Then why does it have an RTS's objectives?

it is

>make FTL windup, cooldown and travel time (for warp and hyper) scale geometrically with fleet size, or make FTL jump one ship at a time (wormhole)
>make combat computers' effects scale inversely with fleet size
There, I fixed the doomstacks.

>I am too retarded to figure out how to abuse this system to make my 'allies' be teh meatshields

>research "victory"
>economic "victory"
>quest "victory"
>wonder "victory"
pic

no rts has ever been won by colonizing half the galaxy

shut the fuck up you fucking retarded cuckold

how the fuck am i supposed to "use them efficiently" when they move at 1system/month while my enemies 20k fleets skip half a galaxy like it's nobody's fucking business

so they out-warscore me on sheer space war even if I own half their planets because DUDE ATTACKING MINING STATIONS LMAO

Does the MEGA update when mods are updated?

>being bad
>not being good
>what are fortresses

>tech every being a problem
>says I'm bad at managing planets
kek

>make admirals only be able to command a limited number of ships before taking penalties to their bonuses, with the limit being 10/20/40/80/160 per admiral level, increased with tech as well as a possible admiral trait

SORRY FOR NOT HAVING FORTRESSES ON EVERY SINGLE SYSTEM MY FEDERATION OWNS (HALF THE GALAXY)

HOLY FUCK YOU'RE FUCKING RETARDED

>it's not a gsg

git gud nerd :^)

>not having fortresses on every inhabited system and at every spaceport
>not dropping a token force on every enemy homeworld to paralyze the AI into doing nothing
>being bad
>not being good

The galaxy map is GSG, the System Map is 4x.

No, you're the retarded one here.

If you have allies that are so shit,it's your fucking fault for not simply vassalizing and annexing them.

...

You're a mother's ass is 4x'd.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOH

A tip, don't fucking doomstack you memer.

Split all your ships into smaller, unit fleets and move them together in groups if you're on the offensive.

If your allies see that you aren't stacking everything into a single fleet that's 60%+ of your force limit, they won't stack on top of it.

Nevermind that.

Apparently in wars it's better to just persue enemy fleets with doomstacks until you catch one and rape it.

I started doing this instead of trying to hold onto captured systems and my warscore jumped to 42%

game is literally a meme

SAAAAAAAAAAAAVAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE

Ignore planets. Just rape their spaceports and fleets. that is enough tom win a war.

tfw enemy empire is mining interstellar dust of nebulae

Link to full 1.1 clarke patch?

Please

Guys, I'm ready to start my first post-Clarke game and I need your advice.

My species are Enduring and Quick Learners, and I need to know which other 1-point trait I should choose.

I'm waffling between Communal (+5% happiness), Natural Engineers (+15% Engineering Research) or Strong (+5% minerals).

What do you think?

Other suggestions are also appreciated.

strong is good, minerals are always in short supply in initial and middle game

>enduring
>quick learners
For what sake?
Tell me that you also take a democracy.

pick two negative
and don't pick enduring or quick learners

Red dot me guys, is there any mod that removes the stupid war cooldown timer?

>posting this fucking gif
STOP YOU FRENCH NIGGER

Not until you accept the moon landing are fake

Thanks, I'm considering it.

I'm playing a Science Directorate; new leader every 40 to 50 years.

Why? Having leaders that live a long time and accrue a lot of experience is a good thing, right?

Upon removing kebab by the sacred virtue of purging, how long does the -5% happiness modifier last?

NO, FUCK YOU
YOUR CHEESE IS SHIT AND YOUR PORTIONS ARE AFRICAN-TIER
I HOPE THE GERMANS ANNEX YOU

>Science directorate
Another one who fall for materialist meme.

I'm actually legitimately curious as to why you'd advise against enhancing your research.

Yes, we Frogs will look after you birdfolk.

>french in space
>didnt play a race of frogs
dispointing

>hyperlanes only
>habitable world in a great chokepoint
>ocean planet though, no tech to colonize
>fucking ocean mushrooms near it
>scan it
>iron age primitives
>invade
>migrate new pops
>build administration
>purge xenos

The post implies that he IS playing a race of frogs.

Bumping this.

I'm kind of concerned that I might be making all of the wrong decisions.
