last time i asked i saw strong recommendations for either Lancelot or Yodaruha, and between the two i couldn't really gauge who was better. I thought Lance would clearly have more long-term viability because Yoda would fall off, but then i saw convincing argument that Yoda actually doesnt really fall off longterm if you main water

By the time Yoda falls off you will have already converted to Light. Yoda, Silva, Altair is also the cheesiest team you can run in assault time.

To be fair, the event SR is pretty much designed to cover Yoda's ass.

Surviving is much more important than DPS, especially when bosses start throwing out 6k on the drop of a hat.

No, Monkey is worth using for her absurd buff alone. The full heal and barrier are icing on the cake.

I reached level 40 in no time and hardly hardly played the game.

It's not. Monkey has the stats of an attacker despite having a support skillset. Also, her buffs are unique aka stack with everything, and Petra's element up buff will also stack with pretty much everything, leaving you free to catch things like Rage from fellow raid members with zero conflict.

You do need to bring EX clear though if you don't want to accidentally kill yourself after healing the team. Or you could ask for one like the windshitter you are.

I just use Baal summon to remove the def debuff. You can also avoid a turn of auto attacks completely by comboing Monkey's shield and Petra's illusion.

Lancelot works with baha dagger, which is pretty much a required part of water pools due to butter knives.

Lancelot sure does, but you're more likely to have a baha dagger since everything relevant is human or erun, besides the good synergy with a cosmos dagger for a water pool if you're really that interested in watermemes.
