when you kindle a bonfire, it gets a second level kind of. whenever you rest at it with less than 10 estus, you will get 10. but if you rest at an unkindled bonfire with more than 5 estus, you will get none. bonfires can reach up to level 4, giving a max of 20 estus. bonfires with firekeepers are pre-kindled once

I don't know what tryhard even means anymore. I actually use the gotthards myself.. The rolling l1 hits way too hard at times with the leo ring and when buffed, but other than that it is a very fun weapon. So much you can do with it.
