This one, because it was made 3 minutes earlier.

My assaultron company died while in water and I couldn't resurrect it with those robot stimpacks, so I used clicked on it and typed resurrect in the console. Now the game acts like I don't have a companion. When it dies, I have to use resurrect again but it will lose everything it had in his inventory. Anyway to fix this?

Absolutely, yes. This is something I've seen people complaining about (that Nate's default voice is too, soft, perhaps is the word?) and something I've been interested in for a while (since ME1, actually).

As for setup, I have a decent-ish mic I can access (my father runs an oldies band / church group with a lot of sound equipment I could probably borrow) and I've been looking into DIY recording booth stuff as well.

Sounds good. You're gonna wanna get that out of the way first and then proceed to record a few lines that'll showcase your VA work. Someone here or on the Nexus is bound to jump in on the project. As someone already pointed out, replacing voice files are really just a few clicks worth of work.

By the way, the general is usually a lot more lively during night time in the US. So don't get put off by the quiet here.

Yeah, my nightowlish schedule tends to put me at-odds with hitting the real busy times, but I might try again later.

Working on the Bostonian accent, though I don't know how much real interest there would be in that one, since it does (at times) take some of the seriousness out of the lines. Or it can, anyway, if I don't do it right.

And yes. I sent a few texts to some guys I know asking about the hardware. I have the space, just need the gear. What I don't have, I will probably be able to pick up sooner rather than later, hopefully.

Beyond that, I was planning on doing a couple more recordings tonight/this morning if anyone's interested in hearing them.

Outfit modding question. What did i fuck up in body slide if some outfits with a jacket or armor they fit normally. But when i wear the same jacket/armor with another set of clothes the items blow up to a large size and fit all wrong.

Is that something messed up on the armor/jackets body slide or the clothes? Or is that a sign that the outfits are just not compatible with each other?

Don't take this the wrong way, but if I had to be honest, the delivery doesn't sound natural, and your voice sounds sort of strained and unemotional. I don't really get the feeling that you're conversing with anyone, but that you're reading out loud, if you catch my drift.

Try to really envision the person you're talking to in front of you; try to really feel his presence as if he was a real person, and then give your response as if he was really there, rather than just bluntly reading off of a screen. If you're really serious about doing this mod then it could be some cool beans, it would just be a shame if it goes down as some forgotten thing with a couple hundred downloads at most, and your voice needs some work, to be blunt.

At this point, yeah, I am basically reading it out loud. Wrote it down for a script and everything, so you're absolutely right there.

It's going to take a lot of work to get it where I want it to be (and where it needs to be), and I actually appreciate the honest critique. Thank you.

Any mods that make for a good Institute-aligned character? Lack of weapon variety and all-around uselessness really kills it for me.

Starting Fallout NV for the first time here. Should I play in hardcore mode? It's sounds fun and challenging.

There's a bunch of relay grenade mods. One ridiculous one lets you summon squads of Synths and gorillas. A more reasonable mod just replaces the gen 1s with gen 2s who carry random leveled weapons instead of just Institute peashooters.
Weapon Balance Overhaul will make the Institute Rifle less shitty. Crafting Workbenches will let you make Relay Grenades.

It is fun, especially if you use jsawyer's mod, he changes things that he thought should have been in the original game.
It isn't hard after the first couple levels, just a matter of keeping food in your inventory and loading up on too much extra shit while exploring.
