How do you decorate your NPC houses?

I'm thinking of using a different furniture set/wall for each NPC, but I'm having trouble pairing sets to NPCs.

So far I've got the following:

Angler: Palm wood
Nurse: Glass furniture (with Fancy Gray wallpaper)
Arms Dealer: Obsidian
Goblin Tinkerer: Bone

And yeah, I figured basic wood for the guide too. Wall is just gray stucco with a wood base.

Open to suggestions for the other NPCs.

Trust me, goblin is the biggest jew of them all.
Either use gold or build him a whole concentration camp.

Have you ever tried reforging your weapons, tools and accessories?

also remember: try no to use the same wall for the same wood (like palm wood wall for palm wood blocks) and use more than 1 wall type

As much as I don't really like the idea of adding even more npcs, this is a neat idea. He'd be a natural fit for selling the harp and bell, too.

I always give them a golden pick, a hook and vanity items.

Whatever items I deemed necessary for whatever kinda run I'll be doing, vanity, and the mech cart.

I'm playing expert hardmode after having not played to this point in regular hardmode for over two years and I've hit a wall with the mechanical bosses. I have Frost armor, so what's the best melee/ranged setup to take down the Twins and the Destroyer? I've tried both but the Twins chase me down too much and I can't keep my health up, and the Destroyer's probes are too much to handle.

Daedalus Stormbow, Holy Arrows.

For destroyer: make a platform some 200 blocks up, have some solid blocks to stand on with honey and heart statues, add some walls, use clouds to kill the destroyer while you focus on the probes

Any arrow with good dmg can do the trick if you're not a shitter. Holy arrows made the fight too fast for me, and I wasn't getting below half of its hp before that bow.

Magic/summon weapons with effects similar to what was seen in his fight, some sort of bow weapon, and maybe a giant sacrificial dagger.

Actually making the fight notable and not just be a literal stepping stone to Pillars and Moonman would also be great.

Your weapons seem like shit, though.
Terra Blade is a mediocre melee weapon, the drill is slower than molasses, Axe can't into ranged, the bottles and spectre staff were shit the last time I used them, Magnet Sphere can't hit Fishron for shit, leaf blower deals fuckall damage and Rainbow Gun is a joke against something as fast as him.

What weapon should I get, in that case?

I think I used Razorpine.

I keep trying to get into this game, I've started over multiple times making a house and running around trying to explore but I have a hard time knowing what to do without the game pointing me somewhere

The Guide is especially helpful. He gives you hints for where to go, and showing him items tells you exactly what crafting recipes they're used in.

The top layer has a lot of chests, and they have loot. Finding bombs allows the Demo to move in, but those are also a method of getting to hearts and orbs, which drop interesting items and eventually, after a third, spawn a boss. Doing this also has a chance to initiate a meteor.

Piranhas and underground skeletons drop hooks, for that sweet mobility. These can also be crafted from some 15 of a gem.

The best armor to get is jungle armor. It doesn't require ore, which spawns so randomly, and has some of the best stats.

When it's done like that, sure. The rope looks weak and incapable of holding that house, not to mention that the way you have it going in a straight line across gives it a very taut feel.

Rope isn't really great for builds like that in Terraria, since it can't really simulate slack and sag. What you could do is instead try using some other block hammered, actuated, and painted to look like cables or some shit.

Use more, like double or triple up on ropes, not just one single line of rope going across.

HOLY SHIT THIS IS AWESOME

Always have the food buff on you for one. It's stupid easy to get and helps out all of your stats, including health regeneration. You could always fish in the corruption/crimson or hallow for the fish weaponry, it's actually surprisingly good and you can get a bunch of crates for ore along the way. Or, tangle with stuff underground mostly. You can find the wizard and make some decent spells pretty easy, or just farm souls of light/night to force large mimic spawns and farm those for some starting gear. OR just fight in the snow biome until the frost fire yoyo drops and fuck shit up with that.

You actually have a lot of options.

You could also just farm the wall of flesh until the rifle drops. That thing works wonders for keeping shit off of your ass, and actually puts out pretty decent damage too. Use that to get yourself started.

Fish up crates until you have enough hardmode ore to make some armor. You can also just stock up on building mats, build a house in the jungle and build your way to a set of chloro armor
