McFree, Lucio, Tracer, Reinhardt and Widow all go to SS.
Lucio is needed on king of the hill maps. Reinhardt is needed on any payload attack. Widowmaker is needed in every map to counter Pharahs and other characters, like a McFree.
McFree is needed to avoid getting flanked by heroes like Tracer and Tracer is needed for good flanks.
Also Winston to S tier since he's the "best" counter to Windowmaker.

I don't think he dislikes junkrat or anything, it's just that they're eachother's foils in terms of personality as much as they are in terms of physical size

I think it's amazing how the devs gave 76 and Widow literal hacks as ultimates, it's absolutely hilarious and depressing at the same time.

Sometimes I go ham and carry my whole team as DPS, tank, or heal. Other times I get completely wrecked by every single person on the enemy team and can't get a single kill or teammate to follow behind my shield.

So I don't know, the matchmaking makes me doubt my abilities.

hes a really solid pick for every situation, remember ulting reloads your weapon and you should aim your helix to directly hit because their splash is horrible, also turn on ally healthbars in settings to see if your teammates needs a heal so you can drop your e. Also if you ult remember that you can select your targets, aim for healers and supports first !
