A hero

how based was him?

In the /pol/ sense of the word, very
In the original meaning, not at all,he was Kissinger's puppet.

sup schlomo

We have gone full circle.

>only Jews would make fun of somebody for being a puppet for Henry Kissenger

Pathetic
> Literally called the Vatican to make peace when Argentina was going to kick his ass
> Ordered a car bomb attack on US soil
> Secretly gave an exocet missile to Israel, on israeli request
> Allied himself with bolivian narcogenerals to ship cocaine to the US
> Secret banks accounts everywhere

>forced Argentina to keep half of their military on the Chilean border while the British were kicking their ass in the Falklands

He sucked, but that part was good.

Why has this retarded meme leader re-surfaced in recent years?

You forgot
>Claim to be a weak and sick old man to avoid being judged

He was pretty much a donkey. The real boss was jaime guzman

...

Helicopter/10.

> Allied himself with bolivian narcogenerals to ship cocaine to the US

True, but commies did the same, most notably the Sandinistas and Fidel Castro. If anything it says more about the absolute shitheap that is Latin America than about right wing / left wing.

He's the most overrated dictator I've ever seen, the funny thing is I always see ancaps praise him even though there ancaps.

He left AllendeĀ“s nationalization of copper mines intact. Literally a socialist.

that first post though
that is some top tier autism.

Based helicopter man makes life all the sweeter.

Murderous fascist dictator.

Careful OP, you might trigger the commietards that shit up this board.

So basically he was the perfect leader?

Gotcha.

hello ivanovich

Oh, you are SO funny.

Only fascist trash could support this creep.

Why are leftypol shills get so emotional and irrational when someone doesn't agree with their SJWshit?

Why do leftypol shills get so emotional and irrational when someone doesn't agree with their SJWshit?

CIA puppet.
Not that I like commies, but native commie will always trump American satraps.

Pinochet was not all powerful with vain ambitions, he was more of a figurehead among the military and obtained much needed financial support for Chile after Allende's attempted revolution accomplishing much. When the communist threat receded a referendum was held and he stepped down without causing a ruckus. From the onset his plan was to hold power until times changed, he was a pragmatic realist, not the fanatical fascist some accuse him of being.

By contrast Allende intended to arm marxist guerrillas (in Chile and elsewhere) and start endless civil war as long as he remained at the top of the pile of ash like many others before him. South America would look more like Africa today if this had happened and the cold war might have dragged on for longer. Pinochet was an anti-hero, it is always naive to trust a dictator, but it is also naive to expect that democracy will always work. Events like these raise important difficult questions even if some are unwilling to accept them.

he was a generous man

gave leftists free helicopter rides just because he was nice

You don't have to be a leftist to know when someone's a bad leader, friend. You can still be right-leaning and know that a man that had people raped or thrown out of helicopters is bad.

Communists getting killed is a good thing, as proven by history.

I hate communism too, but come on. Do you really think that the only people he ever had killed were commies? Would that even justify the torture he had carried out on people's families?

>Made his country the richest in south america
>Peacefully stepped down from power
>Lowered crime
>Stopped imminent communist mass murder and famine
>Stopped the spread of communism in latin america

He saved more people than mother thersa

Exactly, let's not forget how the Pinochet rigime had dogs raping women and putting rats up there vaginas as a form of torture, killed children, and killed famous singer and poet Victor Jara. All because "Derr commies ah tell hue wat!!"

Don't forget his white supremacist pollution gangs and how he allowed workers to be created in corporate breeding pens

>50% under the poverty line
>Two deep recessions
>20% decline in productivity
>Steep decline in average earnings
>long time socioeconomic damage
>"Cultural blackout" because the regime restricted some music instruments and theaters
>Had one of the most brutal torture regimes in South American history
All this happened during Pinochets rule.
The thing is sure Chile is prospering right now, but they truly prosper after Pinochet's insane neoliberal rule.

>Namefag

Garbage.

>>Stopped the spread of communism in latin america
really?
Chile is now governed by a socialist woman, raised in East Germany

Brazil is richer.

Do you people not remember all the Allende supporters we once had? Now killed, assassinated via geographical association of their IP and other identifying information.

Only Pinochet's apologists remain.
Actually I'm just too bored to argue with retards today, and last time we actually had Chileans here to inquire about things. But basically, if ALLENDE was a good ruler, counterpart to a bad ruler, then ask yourselves how we as Americans could trash him and those like him ideologically, scientifically, philosophically, and so on. If the answer is anything but, "There is documented evidence we could," then go stab your privates with a piranha. Thus, a single absolute counterexample to Pinochet's skill is dashed against the rocks of your craggy minds because we need merely not do unto Pinochet as we did to Allende and call that reversal of American desires an economic miracle.

whine about it some more, commie pinko faggot

See

le helicopter man xdd

>commies STILL butthurt after 40 years

I'm a chilean-born American living in the states, I was born in La Serena which is a small coastal town in Chile then came over with my family when I was young.

My parents grew up during the dictatorship and emigrated after in the 90's so they lived through most of it.

We can comfortobly talk about it here on this board because we are seeing the effects much later, but during his time, especially the early years it was hell on earth.

During the early years of Pinochet you lived in fear, it didn't matter that you weren't a communist, if your'e neighbor didn't like you they could say they could go up to the militants and tell them you're a communist sympathizer and that your harboring weapons in your home. The in the middle of the night you're house was raided by militants and if you were lucky you were tortured if you weren't you would be shot and killed. Soldiers would rarely look for evidence even if you werent a communist, they would torture you in order to get any info out of you, there was no such thing as being interviewed or questioned in holding cells.
Pregnant women were strapped fully soaked in water onto wire framed beds and electrocuted by having wires wrapped onto the springs into an electrical socket.
There were curfews for when you had to be indoors at night and soldiers would beat you even if it was 30 minutes until the effect of curfew if they say you on the street.

One of my uncles worked as an engineer in an electricity plant, during that time he was under the authority of the military even though he wasn't a soldier. He had to wear a typical work uniform such as a dress shirt and slacks . One night he had to stay overtime to manage the plant and ended up getting picked up by militants on the way home. They wouldn't believe him when he said he worked at the plant and was put into a truck with other captured men and teenagers. They let the run across a field and opened fire on them, my uncle survived because he laid down as if he was dead.

>They let the run across a field and opened fire on them, my uncle survived because he laid down as if he was dead.

I get it, you're not an actual communist, this is just a post-ironic shitpost.

>using "creep" to describe a head of state
>namefagging
its like you want people to know you are straight out of tumblr

I'm not shitposting, nobody in my family was involved in politics or in communism, my grandparents and my parents when they were children suffered under communism, the same way those in Venezuela are today. My godfather was a "milico" or militant for the government in the 80's and even he grew disdain for the martial law that was on the streets.

someone need to make a screen shot to this post

And to think there are far right morons to this day that will defend Facism, even desire it.

He should have left Chile become another socialist shithole. Latin Americans are dumb and will always follow socialism unless they are educated the hard way, like Venezuelans are being right now.

yes, chile is so socialist, that now is supporting US proxies in venezuela

Give it a few more years. The only thing that stopped the left-wing government in Chile from going full Bolivarian is the Constitution bestowed upon them by Jaime Guzman, but they will soon change it.

For every one of you there are a thousand Trumpers. Our world has ended, we are approaching Apocalypse.

chile is forever bitch of american (((neocons))), they do not have hope LMAO

>we dindu nuffin, not one in my family was involved with communism
>we just kept Marxist literature at home and were friends with communist guerrillas

(You)

I like the memes tho

...

I mean, the edges, I love living in them

Does that graph show actual causation by Allende's Policy? From what it looks, the economy started to plunge in similar way as other country economies due to bretton woods' collapse in early 73, and the and oil crisis in late 73.

it's funny how Pinochet is a hero yet Porfirio Diaz is a villain

There both pretty dumb

well from what i've noticed over the years is Pinochet is, mostly seen as a hero and "based" and "Chile's last hope" and all that stupid /pol/ shit

yet Porfirio Diaz, a man who essentially did the same things, except in less extreme ways, is vilified by many Mexicans

edgy alt-right teens
