Blacks were 95% of the population in Haiti
In the United States during the same period they were 15% of the population, they didn't stand a chance
Successful UPRISING
not OP but the uprising achieved its objective
There were rebellions in Jamaica but the british could live with maroon towns
1. They were almost the entire population.
2. They were fighting the French
3. It wasn't an uprising, it was a literal race war and massacre.
Why didn't even one black get an idea to rebel? They had to create a fictional character Kunta it was so bad

whipping posts, humiliation, setting home slaves against plantation hands, etc.
Oh I didn't know about this 10keys
Are killings in a slave revolt ever justified?
Yeah i'd say so
To be dehumanized and made a literal slave, doing anything to reestablish your humanity is understandable
>There is only one concept of slave
and slaving in a caribbean sugar plantation wasn´t the best one
Don't worry, you're not alone. The majority of posters here make sweeping statements without even a cursory glance at wikipedia.
the tree of liberty gotta be litterd with the blood of freemen
nah
Are there any logical ways you can become a free man and not a second class citizen or worse (and back to slave even) without them?
That's sort of the kicker.
>Why didn't even one black get an idea to rebel?
Faggot have you ever read a book?
French revolution happened
Much smaller part of the population, plus the plantations were much further from each one than in Haiti.
>In the United States during the same period they were 15% of the population
More like 20%.
>What were Anglos secret tactics to keep 'em in check?
Never being at war with the entire civilized world
Britain was pretty cowardly and thus always on the most numerous side in wars, so they never had to divert so much manpower in vital combats that slaves overseas could successfully revolt without being really taken care of
If they win.
What about the killing of innocents?
t. Pierre du Fromage
Why are we acting as if "black" is synonymous with "slave"? As I understand it large scale slavery was mainly for America and the west indies, not so much for the other English colonies. The Zulu war was not a slave revolt
Who said it was?
>Wow they murdered the only good people and destroyed all the infrastructure and turned Haiti into the world power it is today!
