Pretty weird thing to do when there are two calendar links right in the OP

It's easy to forget to check stuff. Plus, why not put it in the thread? Maybe it'd actually spark some discussion.
Levi Ramirez
>To keep the thread from dying instantly: >>What are you playing/have you played recently?
Just Taisho Alice, I haven't had much time for myself because of work
>>What are you looking forward to ()?
Omega Vampire, Slow damage, Collar x Malice
>>And what's on your backlog (let's go with your short list of things you're reasonably likely to actually pick up sometime soon)?
I would rather not think about it.
Christopher Perez
>Omega Vampire
Really? I don't mean this in a hostile way, but why? Are you just into omegaverse stuff?
Jonathan Bailey
Not that user, but I'm also looking forward to it despite not being into omegaverse stuff at all.
Mostly out of curiosity to see what they do with it. I'm still a bit baffled as to why it's become such a trendy thing in Japanese BL.

>Skip function added to EnStar stories >Skip button stays on the CGs and can't be disabled
O N E J O B
There has to be a way to rip the CGs, I've seen full versions of the bloomed event gacha ones. Or maybe I hallucinated that I did.
HE will probably edit the skip function after the current event, everyone's complaining about it.
Samuel Sanders
Traps with female VAs are fucking disgusting. Who thought this was a good idea?
Leo Nelson
Thanks, bro. Osiris is the band I was initially most interested in, and I see I still am.
I also checked out Dream Fes. I've only played four songs, but it's good. Up to speed also provided a nice challenge on hard. I had a difficult time juggling all the balls flying at me.
Colton Bailey
Traps with female va's is something I'd expect more from media aimed at males.

Caleb Wright
Most recent was KgK. Current VN is non-/blog/. Most anticipating CollarxMalice, followed by Haitaka. Leaning toward Moujuutsukai to Ouji-sama next, it'll depend what I'm in the mood for. I have my eye on buying Kenka Banchou Otome soon. Meanwhile, I should get back to Norn9 LE but I've been putting that off. Having too many routes in a game can be kind of demotivating.

Much like that other user I have no clue how japan got into that stuff. I was already baffled when I started seeing doujins that included it and I never got the appeal either. (Is it the mpreg? Is it the part where they can make ukes submissive by nature now? I don't know.)
Sebastian Morris
Any otome/BL with incest? and no fake incest or tulpa like DmmD. I know Rejet has their niisans but they're fake and often wifebeaters.
Not an EOP here.
Grayson Moore
The BWS nii-san is MCs half-sibling, if that's good enough for you.
Aiden Adams
All Otomate nii-san I have seen are fake, so keep away.
Jayden Richardson
I think Sanzen Sekai Yuugi's brother route is full incest, but don't quote me on that.

I dunno a lot about omegaverse stuff but I can see how the firm hirearchy/roles aspect would appeal strongly to mainline JP fujoshi.

>A very normal high school girl who is time warped back to the Three Kingdoms era China. Is it because of the MC or was it her interactions with the other characters?
>PS2, PSP and PSV ver is 12+ >PC ver is all ages What gives? I've always thought it was the other way around for these things. Speaking of ratings, what's the lowdown on Zettai Kaikyuu Gakuen's changes? I'm curious about that huge leap from all ages to 17+ for the vita.
Gavin Hernandez
>PS2, PSP and PSV ver is 12+ >PC ver is all ages
The PC version is probably not CERO rated. "All ages" isn't a formal ratings board rating, just means not 18+
Tyler Gutierrez
That makes sense. Thanks for clearing it up for me.

Keep in mind there are a lot of EOP opinions mixed in there, but yeah it's good.
Justin Cruz
Just finished Kenka Banchou. My two complaints from last thread still stand, but it was nonetheless extremely enjoyable and I'm sad it's over.
Best part were definitely the characters and their interactions. Everyone was hella cute, even the mob charas. Especially Idol-senpai was a very pleasant surprise. I don't usually like his type, but he had great development and banter with the others. I also fell in love with Hinako. She's one of the best MCs I've ever had the pleasure with. Other companies need to take notes.
I'll agree with the other user and give it a 8/10 while praying for an FD.
Nolan Powell
It's the best translated otome along with Hatoful.
Chase Hughes
No question that it's the best officially translated game, but Is it really better than TMGS, Princess Nightmare and The Second Reproduction?
Julian Thomas
Haven't played TMGS but it's better than TSR for sure. I'd put it on the same level as Princess Nightmare for different reasons. PN is more fun while C;R has better plot structure.
Josiah Cox
This game sounds pretty good, but wouldn't it be more enjoyable to just read some shoujo manga with a similar setting? Since there apparently isn't that much romance in the game anyways.
Luis Ortiz
Something that's enjoyable as game doesn't have to be to be enjoyable as manga. I'm not a seiyuu fag, but the voice acting adds a lot to the humour, for example. Plus, with a manga, I'm stuck with whichever boy (usually worst boy), the author choose to go with. There's at least some kind of choice in otome games.
Dominic Ward
Finished Shirayuki. I can't believe I liked a game I bought the LE for. It wasn't what I expected but it was good. It's basically 純愛 SoL with a unique flavor and if you go in wanting that you'll enjoy it.
Romance was really good in most of the routes(not Maki's)and even with 8 guys the length of them feels just right and satisfying. Utsuro and Maki get the same treatment as the other guys other than having more plot. There's still plenty of romance in their routes and good/bad ends. All the guys were great. Some suffered from "better in other routes than their own" syndrome but even so they were enjoyable. All of them being either university students or working adults felt very fresh, since even if you have an adult cast it's usually a fantasy setting.
Mashiro was great too. I really want more shamelessly affectionate MCs now. She goes out of her way to do nice things for the guys, calls them cute a lot and overall is really loving and fun. Even so she's realistic about her relationships and the sense of her slowly getting closer to everyone is done well. She's a bit too accepting of their flaws(especially Maki. that's not flaws, that's brain problems)and overly willing to sacrifice herself for them though. It reminded me of TaiAli's Yurika but that had reasons, Mashiro on the other hand is just a natural saint. You could say her Kyoukai self being born from loneliness contributed towards it but that's a stretch since it's hardly mentioned.
Samuel Sanders
Plot was typical Otomate. Good points are there isn't any copypaste and all the routes do something different with it. There's nearly no plot in the first few routes, developments are rapid and everything is left frustratingly unexplained, but as you continue things are revealed little by little and it gets more enjoyable. You don't get everything answered until you do Maki's route. Bad points are there are areas that are left rather shallow and it never got me that invested it in. It was an interesting premise but Otomate's usual bland text and inability to dig deeper into their themes are a bigger minus for this type of game than their action or comedy genre ones. There were a few minor annoyances like Mashiro's belief of what's reality or not varying greatly between routes for no reason and some dodgy climaxes, but nothing notably bad. I hated the Kyoukai world switching for the first two routes but grew to like that too. Kaine and Yura are the first on the recommended order and have the most unreasonable Kyoukai versions so those scenes just felt pointless. The others were better and I actually liked Kyoukai Nazuki over actual Nazuki. That last scene ;_;
Overall I was very satisfied with it despite being the type who likes more plot or large casts interacting along with my romance. If you want some cute romance with moe adults you won't be disappointed. This is definitely my new go-to reread for cute things.
Luke Wright
Why read VNs in general?
Dylan Howard
Ah, I'm asking exactly because I enjoy that kind of scenario as shoujo manga. I'm just a bit conflicted if I want to get the game since it'll probably never drop in price, and manga would be a lot cheaper and also pretty amusing. Though yeah, voice acting is nice to have. And color.
I'm wondering more about that exact setting because it's quite common in shoujo manga. And well, I normally play VNs for additional romance and as different medium to read stories.
Aiden Green
A girl cross dressing as her twin brother and kicking major yankee ass is common in shoujo manga? I've been missing out, then.
Juan Anderson
I was more referring to the >girl crossdressing as boy and going to a (all-boys) school I guess the yankee part is something unique to Kenka Bancho, except for the Kenka Bancho manga.
Henry Robinson
Thanks for the review, user.
That sure does sound great. Will buy it when it goes down in price a bit.

I finally finished my first route on Kenka Bancho and it was Totomaru's. He was so cute I usually had to put my vita aside and just lay on my bed, trying to clear my head. Also I've never had any strong feelings towards any of the otome mcs, but Hinako is awesome!! Now looking forward finishing reitenmaru's friendship route and then other boys', since they all look like they are going to be best boys. I'm so glad I bought this game, it's really enjoyable.
Brody Cooper
I'm about five years late on this one, but on the minuscule chance the /a/non that requested this migrated here, do you still want this scanned? If yes, I'll clean them up a bit.
Elijah Murphy
Finished Period Cube.
Positive points.
The system is superb. There's nothing I have to complain about, everything is super easy. I didn't have to waste any time with skipping or similar.
The way the ingame world is portrayed really feels like a MMO. There are tons of characters, and quite a lot game vocabulary (which is listed in the dictionary). The age gap between the characters also helps with this. Not only the capturable characters (ranging from 14 to 22), but also the side characters. Like, there's a loli in the same party as a business man.
The characters are all, without exception, likeable. I loved them all, including the villain. The voice acting is also superb, including characters without sprites. Sakurai delivered a masterpiece again. I was giggling every time Astrum appeared in real life. Too cute, and too hilarious. That gruntling, and that slightly surpressed voice while talking fast is just perfect. Libera is a cute angel, I really liked Hanae's voice acting, especially when it was switching between girly and bratty. Expected Libera too be way more shitty and bratty, but he was just too much of an angel.
I loved the bad endings, especially the one of Onii-chan's route (true route).
The way the story works is very nice. No repeating parts, the story unfolds completely different for each character, but the outcome is pretty much the same, with some expections. It's quite interesting to see the different paths the story takes. I also liked about the story that MC enters the world after it already existed quite some while. So other characters are already adapted to living ingame, and are mostly quite relaxed about the situation (with exceptions), at least until the situation worsened.
The story is solid. Every ending is an actual end, there are no things left to solve. Everything gets kind of explained in the true route.
There's enough romance, kisses for everyone, and cute >Do you want to date me? confessions.
Colton Nguyen
Forgot to mention, but MC is also great, though she cries a lot.
Now, things that bugged me.
A bit more backstory for some of the more important side characters would've been very nice, and how they look in real life and their age, as well as their ingame level.
Story is, as expected, nothing special. Wouldn't buy only for the story. It's not bad, but also not specially interesting or anything. It also feels rushed. I would've loved some more adventuring before all the players go panic mode and it's time to clear the final dungeon. Also, while it is kind of explained how that world was created, it still is a bit wishy washy. And the fact that no one inside the game tried to clear the issue up from the outside is questionable. Players are able to go back for a short while after doing a special quest, so it might have been possible. After all, that world existed at least a year(though the time ingame flows faster). Also, here's the reason as to how it all worked, big spoiler: ~magic~. Though I simplified it a bit.
In some routes, the romance feels a bit out of nowhere. I think that especially idol's and onii'chan's route suffered from this.
I guess my main complaint is that it's too rushed. They should've really made it just a bit longer.
Still, I'm happy that I bought this game. The MMO feeling and great characters really made it fun to play. I'm now off listening to more bonus CDs. Hoping for a FD with more interactions between the main characters, since they're really amusing.
My personal boy ranking: Libera (trap) > Onii-chan >= Astrum (spagetti spiller) > Radius (idol) > gap > Zain (NPC) > Hiroya (childhood friend)
Jack Taylor

You could try listening to the preorder tokuten to get a better feel of the characters. I think it's up at airavalky. And considering the mediocre reviews, it'll most likely drop in price second-hand.
