I know red bars are just flesh HP, and yellow is armour, and blue is shields, but what does that mean?

Are there different weapon damage types to the game?
Do these different HP/armour types interact with said different damage types?
I heard armour reduces damage per hit or something but then what's the point of shields? Do they regenerate after a time while HP doesn't?

Easy, 4 McCrees and 2 Lucios in premade with comms and they're all accurate.

Shields will recharge on their own. Characters with shields can recharge portions of their health bar

Armor...I don't know. It acts just like health in that it doesn't regen and you need to pick up health packs to get it. Maybe it provides some slightly sturdier mitigation or something?

Shields are Halo Shields (if you don't get take damage for a while, they recharge)
Armor is kinda like Doom Armor: reduces damage taken by an attack by 5, unless that attack was under 5, then it is cut in half. This means armor is really effective against shotguns and other mutlihit attacks.
