Why would a player WANT to play on a new map aside from gimmicks? We already have enough maps to sate the majority of players.

We've got Box as standard, Meta as essentially Box with a different layout, and Deff for the giant maint gimmick.

If a new map is added that DOESN'T have some sort of gimmick, I don't think it will be played often.

Fun fact, due to the fucky way Byond's occlusion functions, if you stand on the red tile or any other tile in its diagonal, you're capable of seeing everything inside the room except the few tileless platings. Meanwhile no one inside the room can see you.

If you can't beat them in skill, you gotta beat them through preparation. It's been a long time since I've last played on tg but I remember all the powergamers would keep a bottle of booze and a lighter in their bag, because if you harm intented someone with the bottle, it would break on them, covering them with alcohol and knocking them down, then you could lighter them to light them on fire. Their options from there are to roll to extinguish, which allows you to shank them with your now broken bottle, try to fight while on fire, which will usually end with them dead (though depending on what they're armed with they could take you out as well), or run. It's been long enough that this was probably nerfed but maybe not.
