People are under the very very wrong impression that people in quick play are all "playing to win", like playing heroes they're good at, picking smart team comps, etc.

That's what ranked is for. Quick play is for practicing heroes you're bad at or learning all the wacky side flank routes in a map, some people are playing "to win" and some people are playing "to learn". In ranked mode everyone will be playing "to win" so it will be a good representation of how good you really are.

Mercy depends on having good teammates. If your teammates are good, you'll be good. If not, you're useless. That's why most just play Lucio.

Mercy's also not that amazing on Defense. Most of the time your force will die in waves, letting your ult go to waste. She's also not as good as Lucio on KOTH maps.

Basically, stick to only using her on Attack maps, and only on teams that can benefit from your damage boost as well. Bastion, Pharah, 76, Zarya, and Junkrat are great complements.

They won't do it this way. They'll release heroes in groups, like one per role.

If you release one hero at a time, that hero will be in EVERY SINGLE GAME, probably in multiples. If you add a few at a time, it will still happen but less so.

Which one is it? You literally can't have both, they can't coexist.

Its call matchmaking. In theory, if you ever improved and capped off at a certain skill level, then sure it would be 50%. However, some people get worst, and some get better.

A lot of kda/potg farmers probably have sub 50%, whereas people that play for the win probably have a % above it.

You will never go past 24 boxes without a Legendary drop, though. Blizz does not believe in true RNG, the odds get weighted in your favor the longer your dry spell, until it's an inevitability.
