Why didn't they include the Blue Flame in DS3 ? Are they keeping it hostage for one of the DLCs ? I want to make a proper Arcane Knight but without a staff and it would look awesome with the flashsword.

I feel it was smart of me to pick Deprived for DS3, cause it forced me to get good at dodging Gundyr. Following that, I think the only reason I beat Vordt on my first try was thanks to dodging.

Fun so far, but enemies have insanely long combos.

The only thing I miss is Bonfire Ascetics.

The only aspect of DS2 that I miss is there being actual new content

I feel like they deliberately made the hybrid casting tool/weapons weak and shitty because they were worried that having faster, more viable spells like flashsword and great dart would be too good on a melee spellcaster build like that, and obviously knew they weren't going to have time to properly balance magic before release.

I expect we'll get more interesting casting tool weapons in the DLCs, though I don't expect the Blue Flames themselves to make a comeback since their lore was kind of a dead end.
