Hi first time really coming to this board. Didn't even know we had a financial board until very recently but I remember there being finance threads on Veeky Forums, did this board come about from those posters or something something else?
Anyway just wondering if there are any legit traders on this board or is it just like meme coins?
Here's a trade I've been taking all week until it lost today. Also, please don't use hacker magic to hack my account please.
I can't really trade because of my shit socialist country but no it isn't really frowned upon. Don't expect replies very quickly though. This is a slow board.
Kevin Sullivan
Check out "robinhood general" thread
Its the de facto stock trading general thread
Carson Ortiz
Yeah I kept seeing that term so I looked it up.
I really wouldn't recommend trading if you don't know what you're doing or can't risk through money for it.
I'll look for those threads though since it seems like trading general. Although I don't trade stocks and usually stick to fx and commodities and gold. I love gold.
Matthew Adams
Non retard here.
Most of this board is filled with retards. I would not come in here to discuss trading unless you feel like it's some kind of helping out the mentally challenged feel good thing.
Landon Nelson
Well I get bored waiting on good trades to appear and close out. And almost none of my real friends are interested in trading and have no idea how sick some of these trades I'm executing are.
I just want to talk about pips.
Are you a trader? What do you trade and how do you decide what to take? I use price action and trusting my heart.
Joseph Gomez
>Most of this board is filled with retards
This. There are a lot of retards on here thinking they can beat the market these days
Juan Campbell
>helping out the mentally challenged feel good thing Come here for this, stay for the angry rants about EMH and commissions.
Mason Cruz
I consider myself a trader, although I am new. Been doing it for less than a year IRL and more than 2 years on/off of simulations.
Elijah Jackson
No, I don't trade. I'm a STEM fag. I sometimes dump a few k in to a momentum trade (the trend is your friend) normally get $100 or so and then I fuck off.
Bit of fun for me, nothing serious.
The only good advice that comes from this board is career advice and tertiary education advice
Joshua Hill
This board has gone to shit desu
People in the past used to be about actually getting a good job, saving as much as possible and investing into low cost index funds. Now it's all NEETs or minimum wage retards looking for ways to get rich from $536.50
Charles Adams
So do you honestly think trading is just something that loses money? And it's better to just get a decent job and save?
Christopher Green
you making money or nah?
Adrian Moore
Trading nets me about $500 a day. Thats more than you make a year, cuck.
Lincoln Ortiz
>And it's better to just get a decent job and save?
Yes.
Christian Price
The official trading chatroom is recruiting again.
where before we were only taking more experienced users, at the moment we are open to all.
Post your email and ill invite you in.
Josiah Rogers
Maybe. I just recently started getting a lot better. But I've been doing pretty well last few weeks.
Wait what?
Why do you believe that?
Jack Gonzalez
>thinking wagecucking is the best
I will have to agree, but wagecucking is only good for obtaining capital, and investing on riskier ventures that actually pay off, later down the road
Tyler Clark
>Why do you believe that?
Because all data seems to point at daytraders to not be able to beat the market consistently after fees
Christopher Long
Wagecucking is incredibly comfortable. I'll take that over anything else really
Well that's the thing. Not everyone can win. 90% will lose.
All you need to do is become one of the top 90 to 95% and you're good. Just because most can't doesn't mean there aren't a few who are doing amazingly well.
Where'd you learn to trade? I've learned a bit from Investors Underground and Bulls on wallstreet (Yes I know they're scammers). I'm gonna fund my ameritrade account once i've saved up $5000.
Could you recommend any books or videos or just give some tips on how you learned?
Also the "trading chatroom" is retarded as fuck and people there dont know shit. Have fun with that kek.
Brayden Cruz
We're not the jackasses on kik or discord. We're the original chat that carefully grew
We had 3 professionals answering questions yesterday, and have a good balanced community
Eli Kelly
>All you need to do is become one of the top 90 to 95% and you're good. Just because most can't doesn't mean there aren't a few who are doing amazingly well.
You could say that about anything
Michael Kelly
Im in your chat idiot, its a waste of time. Its retarded and by "professionals" you are reffering to 3 retards being retards.
Brody Richardson
You confused official analysts, and a famous online trader for retards? You're in the wrong chat m8
Evan Brown
>le famous online trader is in a Veeky Forums chat group
Angel Carter
OP, what's the easiest way to trade gold?
Eli Gomez
Show me some of your trades. How many pips are you winning and risking with your trades?
That's one of my trades in the op. And why do you think I'm a retard?
I can't directly link you to most of the places I've learned from since most of its from things like messenger groups(most are mlm scams) and basically secret groups
I don't know if I should post about it on a site like this but the whole trend is your friend thing is a lie to trick beginner traders.
But basically I've studied all kinds of things on my own but most of it is price action and just a lot of experience. I've only been trading for a little over a year but I've spent a lot of time maybe 50 hours a week trading, practicing, and studying over the last year.
Caleb Smith
A +0.02 trade. Are you retarded?
Nathaniel Lewis
>the whole trend is you friend thing is a lie
Could you elaborate on that? You mean chart patterns like flags aren't a reliable way to trade?
Thomas Barnes
Oh man I have a lot of pictures of my gold trades. I can't really explain it since it's pretty intuitive to me and even when I tried teaching it to other fx traders they just treat me like I'm crazy but ask for signals. Let me see if I can find an impressive one but for now this is a gold trade I took earlier today.
Right now I'm waiting on more trades but I don't see anything ready quite yet
Landon Brooks
Strongly consider suicide.
Nicholas Bennett
>0.02 trade
I literally have no idea what you mean by this.
Are you going to show any trades or just pretend like you are good at trading?
Chase Wood
You bought a stock, it went up by 0.02 and you sold. Literally autistic. Ive screencapped all of this btw to post in "what kind of people are on Veeky Forums threads"
Im currently on my phone at my friends but tomorrow morning i can show you some of my trades. Believe me, ive never sold for $0.02 profit, because im not an absolute retard.
Owen Walker
I trade penny stocks on Robinhood but it's not much better than gambling. I'm also pretty bad at it and have been down since my second day because I don't do enough research. Close to breaking even though!
Easton Anderson
I don't think you're a trader bro. That's not a stock and it's definitely not .02 in profit.
Also I didn't tsken these pics to show my profits from them but to show friends what trades I'm taking. You can't see them after it hits tp because it's closed out and doesn't show me still in the trade. I only have SS of my early positing. After it closes out it looks like this.
Sebastian Diaz
Ps most of my gold trades actually do about 50-200 pips. Not micro pips but pips.
Ask your friends if 50-200 pips is anything to laugh at and have them explain it to you.
Adrian Barnes
Great fucking with you and I now missed my entry on a trade I've been waiting hours on lol. Nice troll.
Hudson Adams
>triple posting like a retard and blaming me for not entering on a trade.
Ok so 1) you arent in the USA (and thus a poor spic nigger.) 2) the pic in OP is one of the most autistic "trades" ive ever seen. 3)screencapped, again.
Ryan Bennett
Bro. Did you even read the thread? I literally stated that I don't trade the stock market. I trade fx. If you don't know. The fx is like the USA stock exchange but it's global.
That means that while American stock traders are asleep and the stock exchange is closed the fx (global) is still live and trading.
Right now is the Tokyo session and later I will trade the London session. Then finally at the end of the trading cycle is the New York session which is what you trade with the rest of the stock traders.
But for me and other FX traders the fx is live through all 3 sessions and only closed during weekends.
I don't believe you're an actual trader if you do not understand how pips work or the different trading sessions or what gold and oil are. If you can't post any pictures of your trades I won't. Replying to you as this is all literally babies first lessons in trading and I absolutely no interest in teaching such basic things.
You probably don't even understand the lines you were looking at were stop losses and likely have no idea what a stop loss even is.
Chase Martinez
why do you trade fx over stocks?
are you in north amreica?
Connor Rivera
Didn't read. Youre an autist.
Logan Wilson
It's just what I happened to learn about first. I mean my aunt took me to a seminar on trading stocks when I was a kid but I didn't learn anything crazy.
I had a friend introduce me to fx. He had more experience than me and showed me where to learn. As I started learning I figured it's best to just master this before moving on to stocks.
Also fx is less regulated than stocks and it just seems simpler to me as far as your orders. For fx you just buy or sell. I don't remember how options, puts, and calls work but it wasn't very intuitive to me.
Also From what I'veheard from experienced traders it's all the same thing Once you master the charts of one you can easily make money trading anything else.
Julian Rivera
Please stop posting.
John Hill
I will once you understand you are mentally disabled. Thanks.
Landon Jackson
>hes not a trader but sits in front of a screen all day and night anyways. >he thinks hes not a loser
FUCKING KEKERS
Sebastian Lopez
You know if we were on any other board or subject I would almost never be baited.
But when it comes to trading I need to maintain the confidence of a god and not doubt my trades.
You can have fun trolling this board and feeling like you've won. But I can't allow any negative energy from you to disrupt my trading.
I could have shown you some pretty cool things that I've learned. Later all.
It's a lie. Look at the charts I've posted and study where I entered and what position I took. Remember 90% to 95% of everyone else are losing most of their trades so why take the same position and trades as them? I really can't say more than that since the guy who teaches this heavily frowns upon it. I would post one last trade but it's too text book and I don't want to get in trouble for sharing it
Wyatt Harris
>his confidence depends on people on Veeky Forums telling him hes not a retard
God damn you are pathetic. Kys. Asap.
Austin Price
can't decide if this is bait or if you're actually mad/buthurt/jealous/retarded.
either way you're literally this boards cancer.
Hunter Reed
btw, srry OP to see all the cancer on this board, Veeky Forums was ok a few years ago, but once /b/ trolls found out it is easy to troll the regulars because they're actually serious about what they post. Also they hope they'll find some info on making money.
Jaxson Watson
Is OP serious?
>creates thread asking if trading is profitable >comes out and says he trades
Well is it OP? Is it profitable for you? This board is so dumb. I physically laughed reading OPs responses to that other retard.
>Claims to know what he is doing >Although I don't trade stocks and usually stick to fx and commodities and gold. I love gold. >gold >fx
Noah Walker
> I'm sorry you had to see that. > You're such a cucking cuck.
Throw the memes harder faggot.
Leo Collins
What is the stock being traded in this picture here?
Adrian Bailey
536.50? Is that one btc?
Samuel Hernandez
>I've studied all kinds of things on my own but most of it is price action and just a lot of experience. I've only been trading for a little over a year but I've spent a lot of time maybe 50 hours a week trading, practicing, and studying over the last year.
I'm a student of the market and became interesting in learning about orderflow and market microstructure and price action and have really enjoyed reading and rereading the following over the past year:
Daemon Goldsmith Order Flow Trading for Fun and Profit Larry Harris Trading and Exchanges Jack Schannep Dow Theory for the 21st Centry H.M. Gartley Profits In The Stock Market Robert Edwards & John Magee Technical Analysis of Stock Trends John Magee Introduction to the Magee System of Technical Analysis WHC Bassetti StairStops Using Magee Basing Points to Ratchet Stops in Bull and Bear Markets Richard Schabacker Technical Analysis and Stock Market Profits.
Edwards and Magee, and Schabacker are from the 1940s and 1950s and they are about price action.
And next I plan on reading Richard D. Wyckoff, Vadym Graifer, Bob Volman, Al Brooks
I havent actually put on any live trades yet. I really enjoy thinking about/contemplating the orderflow of institutions and the market microstructure. The most enjoyable day I've watched so far was during the Brexit watching 6B and observing the institutions with their models incorrectly predicting the results and piling up on the wrong side and then being trapped as the results came in all the orders piled up hitting the bid. and then it looked like a lot of the market makers pulled their quotes so the central banks had to step in to make the market and provide liquidity. It was absolutely fascinating to watch. I prefer futures because in FX there is no central clearing and no CLOB so you dont really get to see the volume beyond your liquidity providers.
Nathan Ward
Give me your thoughts on tr his movement here in the picture
Gavin Johnson
Broke the neckline of a head and shoulders anticipate a measured move of the head to the neckline to around the 1336 handle.
Close. This is that trade while it was live. At least I think this is the correct pic.
You should give it a shot. You seem to know a lot more than the average trader. I'm sure with some live experience you will be profitable but trading live and looking at old charts isn't the same thing.
Josiah Carter
Actually I don't think I have a picture of that trade while it was live. It was nfp and my tp was hit almost instantly once the movement started.
Ryan Gonzalez
I prefer to stay away from that OTC stuff like the XAUUSD CFD at a bucketshop. I based my analysis off the GC futures contract. pic related.
Jack Wilson
>It was nfp Trading during NFP is extremely risky. For example I dont think that most risk managers at prop shops would let a junior trader trade during NFP. Futures brokers raise their margins during NFP because of the extreme volatility.
robinhood stops you from day trading for 90 days if you don't have 25k or more in your portfolio and do more than four day trades in a week. shit sucks for small time trading.
I'm only learning fx but I would have shorted that picture as well
Julian Perry
When the fuck did I say gold was a stick you mongoloids
Grayson Thomas
Yes I know it's risky. But I was already in position for that trade a day before. It's not like I wanted to trade nfp but I'm not exiting a good trade just because of news. The market tends to play off news to trick beginners.
