I don't even play GF. I'm mad that I can't do the one thing that plane was designed for, because it can't even penetrate AI mediums.

So I decided to try this game out and all I'm facing is like level 100s that just shit wreck me the moment I try to dog fight them.

I'm flying around in the Tucks Gladiator and I'm facing planes and people that are just better than me. They are just giving me no chance to even have fun.

Is there even a point to continue?

Look at Helmet's vids, you'll fly into the hail fof 23mm bullets even at 2km. .50cal won't fuck you up at that distance, but 23mm canons will, so don't be too certain about that

But that's the thing. MGs have a far shorter effective range than the canons and not to mention .50cals will be nerfed in damage in the next patch.

The reason you can fight them low alt is because you are much faster than them, and it gives you a better shot(pun not intended) at avoiding incoming fire.

I did, that's why I said they'll be able to fuck you up even at the lower alt, unlike .50cal armed B-29. It won't be an easy prey either way. And the video was there just to show the effective range of the 23mm canons.

Mostly luck. Some rockets you can set a timer on, though, and that can help a lot. Rockets are pretty prone to spark, though, just like low velocity cannons.

No, never. I don't know how Wargaming is, but Gaijin admitted perhaps twice to making a mistake since 2013 and they barely ever went back on the changes. They actually listened with the trauma packs and it seems to be getting better, but I doubt they'll ever admit fucking up the game with their version of "historical accuracy" when they nerf shit for the sake of balance. Perhaps they'll start listening when the game goes almost completely dead, but I legit can't see them making something like that vid and downright admitting they fucked up or saying they want to make a game the players want it.

Matchmaking mixes players using planes with similar BR. IIRC Gladiator is 1.3, which means you can meet planes with BR up to 2.3 It will be like that whole game, you will meet players up to 1.0 BR higher and lower than you.
We're talking Rank 1 here, Awarness range and G resistance aren't very important when planes fight at 200-250 km/h, and firepower, and as following, chance of insta-gib are low.
