So I have decided to give this game another try after playing it for a few days about a year ago, and while I'm having tons of fun running and jumping around, shooting and slicing stuff as a badass space ninja, I keep seeing people with flashy new swords, different bodies and shotting using things like double handguns and pulling off giant flaming explosions by sticking their sword into the ground, so I came to ask, how do I git gud?

Guys, since Chanelled Abilities energy drain isnt capped at 175%, does that mean Prowl isn't too?

Also, are Artemis' Bow shots also beyond the 175% cap unlike its activation?

Use thief's wit or animal instinct if you're lucky.
The mini-map will display little things that are both the caches and regular containers you can destroy. Max out the mod for best effects of course, and remember that sometimes caches can be above or below, so make sure to jump around like an idiot to detect them.

It is unsustainable without a truck load of plates, or pistol ammo mutation. Pop on PAM, and dps goes down. So it has it's usage, but overall it's not my go-to side arm.

Nitain is a kick in my ass, I don't have the time to sit around waiting on the alerts. I heard you can get them at a chance from sabotage or something but that's still wayyyy too time consuming since it's probably like, a 1% drop. I fuckin hate that they make X annoying to get resource and then just make everything new need it.
