I played this game a good bit last year but I find it really boring.

He's probably gonna be perma banned in competitive play. He does so much for a coordinated team it's insane. He's obviously much worse in solo queue, but he'll probably still be viable.

I'm going to have to agree with that you should snatch up Zagara if you haven't already. Lane bully, massive potential for vision control and great sustained damage.

If between Xul and Sylv I'd probably go with Xul, who can set up a lot of pick-offs with his bone prison (Tyrande flare follow-up, or Chromie Q/W)

Great in coordinated/competitive, mediocre/below-average in pub matches. He just doesn't really do much by himself. Perhaps I didn't test him for long enough to get a clear picture, though.

Mixed feelers. They seem to be content in letting Tassabro and Uther sit around 45%. Wonder if they wouldn't mind if Medivh sat even lower, if he was played in competitive.

Things I have learned about AFK Training:

Training has an auto-fail built-in if the game goes too long. I came back to a match that had been running for 4 hours to find that my team was defeated and earned no experience from the match.

Towers of Doom is by far your best bet for AFK training. Ping your AI buddies to follow you and camp an Altar.

I have discovered that the maximum level for Heroes of the Storm is actually 59, not 30. It's just that Level 31 has an insane XP requirement (however, 32+ have very small XP requirements).

The longest I ever managed was a 2 hour game where I killed all three enemy keeps, pinged all 4 bots, then just sieged up with all range talents on our core on hammer.

It's like Aba. Most people can't play him FOR SHIT but that doesn't make him a terrible hero. It's good to have heroes like this in a sense where not every hero needs to be braindead and pandered for the mass casuals.

That's a good strategy, but it doesn't work for all heroes. Towers works for anyone.

Aye, Abathur was actually one of the Heroes that initially got me interested, and the only Hero I've purchased for $. Took me about five quick matches to realize I'd be significantly better off playing Li-Li and Raynor for another hundred matches or so before moving on to something slightly more complicated.

Perhaps I'll play Abathur one day, if/when they buff the fellow to make him a little more universally viable.

Yeah, that's the general consensus I've seen for MM systems like this for a while now. I sincerely doubt they can find a perfect solution that both is fair and feels fair, but props to them for trying. They're aware that people will try to game the system, so I think if they're confident that any system they come up with will work I have confidence in them.

I've dropped from r13 to r18 in HL in the past five days. I usually take bruisers, solo tank, or specialist. I'm not amazing at the game, but 80% of my losses recently have been from teammates fighting each other or people who just pick whatever hero they want regardless of comp.

Do I even have a chance of making it to 10 for the epic mount, or should I try and find 4 randos to go for 10 in TL?

getting rank 10 in TL is way easier and fun, assuming you have a team of decent players on voice comms. i got it after the 20 placement + ~4 more games.
