Melee characters aren't going to stack attunement just so they can use skills that are on average worse than simple R1 spam. They aren't going to give up their healing flasks in order to chug an ashtus every 15 seconds.

They're literally just cutting down on overall weapon and moveset variety. That's all this will accomplish.

you can only revert to previous saves on PC if you manually find the save file and make backups

80 is good because it goes down to 72, and between 72 and 80 you're bound to find plenty of people that haven't finished NG yet.

The other option would be to go higher, since at 90 you're already mostly targeting people above 100 anyways.

Yeah, but why would this make a simple caestus no longer viable? You just have to wait a bit longer to reach the amount of FP needed, and for pure melee characters, I'd rather passively regen FP to use a WA every now and then than carry around a flask dedicated to a bar that's not very useful to me overall.

I just have a lot of trouble figuring out how I can make it work at SL80. Right now I can pretty much exactly get 60 INT/24 ATT/27 VIG. How would I shave 10 points off there? ATT to 18, End from 13 to 11, Vig from 27 to 25? Or stay at 24 Att and drop Vig from 27 to 19? That's a bit steep.

You could go down to 50 int. Those extra 10 points aren't nearly as valuable as you think they are.

what he's saying is most people don't hang around at high 80s or low 100s, they either stay at whatever level you'd be at for the first playthrough (roughly 80 depending on grinding), or go up to the 120 meme. if you stay at 90-100 you'd still be invading the sl120 ng+ players but be at a level disadvantage
