T8-T10 battleships, they deal quite a lot of damage, can sustain HE damage and they're capable of repairing a huge portion back.

Shimakaze detection buffs when? I can deal with the shit torps and the shit guns and the huge turning circle, but the least I could ask for is to see the ships that hard counter me coming before they do.

US DD's. They keep enemy DD's under control, and once you've dealt with them you're free to use your own torps to be a cunt to their BB's.

Let's buff a ship that can outsail any other ship and remain undetected while detecting everything else around it.

Use your guns while running away. They do a pretty hefty amount of damage.

Smoke and speed boost your way out if necessary. Like when the entire enemy fleet is nearby.

Is this summer 2015? Literally every Soviet Destroyer after Kiev outsails the Shimakaze in top speed.

Its detection is the same as Gearing and worse than Fletcher. You know, the ships with better torps and better guns. It's also outspotted by its immediate predecessors, though that's less of an issue.

Using my guns gives them and the Moskva inevitably on the other team more time to shoot me while I'm spotted. Speed boost just makes you outrun your smoke, especially if you're dodging their fire.

Fucking stupid meme. The torpedo soup problem is that sometimes there are just too many torps at the same time to evade them all. You change course to pre-emptively evade a possible torp wave, and you are successful. But then you run into another one that was not aimed at you.

The worst of all is that you usually never get hit by torps. But they force teams to play in a very passive manner, which means they won't follow through whenever you try to push or do something that is not blobbing up with them around the base.

I assume his argument is that angling provides a smaller profile than going full broadside. While it's true, I wouldn't argue that the benefit is anything more than marginal at best.

Yes, I played Fubuki too. And that's fine, but it works all of three times, after which you're going to be dodging shells every 3 seconds for quite a while until you outrun either Fletcher or Gearing. 41 knots is good, but it's still going to take some time to escape something going at 38 knots.

The reason high tier games are stale is because people don't know how to disengage, so they don't bother getting engaged in the first place. This results in those players max range sniping till the timer runs out.

Try disengaging in a ship that takes over 30 seconds to turn around, and be sure to remain angled the entire time so you don't get citpenned or expose yourself to torpedoes.

The torpedo soup isn't even that big of a problem these days, even in the odd game where there's like 8 DDs on the enemy team because of the high tier IJN DD nerfs.
But the mentality of not risking pushing and just sitting back has remained because people know that they're unlikely to get any support even if they do try to push, so therefore nobody does.

baBButists don't push because they fear torpedoes, they do it because they think it's the right thing to do with 25+ km range.

They really need to add the easy command menu like in WoT. I really miss being able to call allies specifically by username and tell them to "follow me" or "fall back." I imagine it'd be really useful in the Asia and EU servers too where there's a huge language barrier.

There's already some inbuilt commands in the game, I don't know if it's like WoT's because I haven't played WoT since like 2013 or something but it doesn't seem like the average player really listens to it anyway, outside of maybe the 'focus this dude' command.

I actually think people pay those commands more attention. Mostly because they have sound, unlike WoT. But so far I haven't found the one for "follow me". F7'ing an ally just asks everyone to support him, not for him to follow you.

I last played in late 2013 as well, but if you had xvm to see who was at least competent, most greens, blues and purples will usually work with you if you communicate them by name.

What we have currently is the quick voice menu on the F(X) keys (which WoT has as well), but it doesn't have other commands and can't be customized with mods. I can't tell a specific ship to come with me, or tell them to stay back.

Well I'm speaking in general. As a DD I think it's helpful to ask a cruiser to cover my retreat or that I'm popping smoke, or to tell an IJN DD that I've already been spotted and there's somebody else nearby. As a cruiser it'd be helpful to mark incoming planes to a BB or tell them to get close. With mod support WoT's menu could still individually name people and show icons, but still have customized commands. It was one of the more convenient and intuitive parts of WoT, especially compared to more advanced but difficult to use quick commands like Tribes' VGS.

Apart from very extenuating circumstances (i.e. a Lo Yang or Kamikaze R with a good captain with a higher-tier ship), divisions should be a +1/-1 spread at worst.

I don't really see how a Lo Yang in a higher tier div could really be an issue, same with just about any T8 ship really. It's different in WoT because they have T9/10 and T10 only games that dragging a T8 into is a disadvantage, but because of WoWs' low T9 and 10 population every single game is going to have a bunch of T8s no matter what.

First column is all tiers

Second column is T5 and above

Third and fourth column are T9 and T10 only

Propulsion is T6 and above

The artillery plotting room mods are exclusive to USN BB, everything else gets main battery mods, which have the order reversed (dispersion at T5 then range at T9) and have slightly different stats

Looks like CV going to have a harder time with more AA buffs.

7km*1.2*1.2*1.2=12.1km and that's without flag. dispersion*0.8*0.8=0.64 of standard secondaries dispersion and that's without T5 skill.

Am I missing something here? Or is Sushi sister going to have some fun with secondaries?
